Excellent Vest at a Very Good Price
I'm now into my third season of using this vest for wade fishing the Sarasota Bay flats. I fish several times per week, but I make sure I rinse the salt water off the vest, along with all my other gear, if the bottom edges get wet. It has weathered several cycles through the washing machine and is no worse for wear. All the zippers are still in perfect working order - no corrosion. It has plenty of pockets for all my gear and leader material. The loops work well to hang my scissors, net, etc. I attached a little magnet system to the loop on the back of the vest, the other half of the magnet to the hoop end of my net, and then I can easily reach back and attach my net to the magnet on the back and this keeps the net out of my way when not in use. I bought the large/extra large size and this way I can wear the vest over my life vest when I prefer to fish out of my kayak. I found this to be much more cost effective than the extra cost of a combo fishing/life vest with no compromises to the number of pockets available.

Outstanding
Love Redington and their products. This wading jacket did not disappoint. Excellent outer layer for cold weather steelheading!

Really nice vest
Pros: Price, features, construction, designCons: Doesn't catch fish for youMost of my fly fishing is done in the warm waters of Texas, so I wanted a breatheable vest that would't make me sweat. It has enough storage for extra reel spools, tippet, fly boxes, etc. It is also well made. The materials are of a high quality, and it feels durable. I like the padded collar especially. Sizing is a bit weird, though. I'm 6', 180lbs, so normally I wear a large, but a XL is too big. I was nervous ordering the size L/XL, but it fits well over my fishing shirt. It would probably fit over a jacket as well, but I probably won't be doing that. I have seen vests that cost twice as much, that were not as well made or comfortable.

Great bang for the buck
I love this vest. I've had the $150 vest but didn't like the bulk, the weight and too many pockets. Sometimes less is more. This Reddington vest is very well made, the seams are finished, no hanging threads, velcro is straight, the cloth is a very nice quality, all the pocket zips are smooth. There are just the right amount of pockets outside, 2 more inside and it has a large back pocket which I require for a stringer or carry fish. My backpacking rain jacket will also fit in there easily. The vest will pack down light and small. I will backpack this in very likely this summer. It's cropped which I like to keep it out of the bushes and water. The collar is a nice feature too.I ordered and exchanged the Lrg/XL for a SM/Med. I'm 5'9", 175 lbs, 44 chest and the large was huge. Even with a fleece on it was much too big. The SM/MED fits well and will still slip over a light fleece and be comfortable. I dinged them one star because of the single quick release front fastener. There should be 2 clips or a zip. The vest will ride off kilter on one side a little because of this. Check out their product video on their site, you can see what I'm talking about. Will affect its performance, never. You'll only notice it when your looking in the mirror...honestly, you wanna fish or look in a mirror? Just buy it.

great vest for the price
Sure this vest isn't the best in the market, but it sure is a great product in its price range.Right when I opened the package, the color looked exactly like the one in the picture. I ordered the L/XL and it was a bit loose (I'm 5' 7''). But that's ok, since it's big enough to wear over a jacket during the winter. The zippers were fine. I read the other reviews about the zipper problem, but I did not experience any zipper problems on mine. It worked smoothly and did not break after use. I actually liked it. Sure, it's not the most heavy duty zipper, but again for this price, the zippers are great. The vest feels great on me and comfortable around the neck. The mesh helps keep me cool, and it also dries fast.Great vest for the price! I highly recommend it for those who do not need an expensive, overkill vest.

Hurry…
Seller went the extra mile to ship to CA. Jacket gets great reviews and Redington parent company is ending clothing production. Find one while they’re still available!

... this winter but my impression of this jacket is great. True to size
I'll update this review later after I use it this winter but my impression of this jacket is great. True to size, I ordered a large (I'm 5'9" and around 200lbs) The fit is not baggy yet leaves enough room for layering. The jacket looks to be very well made given the price. I would expect this quality in a $400 jacket. Plenty of room through the shoulders and arms which is great for casting. Very simple and understated design that doesn't scream "wading jacket". You could easily wear this around town or while traveling. My only negative comment about the jacket is that it does not have any inside pockets. However, I am very impressed with this and think Redington has made a solid, bombproof wading jacket.

GREAT VEST!
I purchased this vest for my husband for his birthday. He absolutely loved it. You can FEEL the quality of this vest. What I liked best about it was the mesh -- you can wear it in warm weather and it wont make you hot, but you can also wear it over your coat/jacket and it wont be so bulky. Also, if it gets wet, it will dry quickly. When my father-in-law saw this vest, he literally went out and purchased one for himself later that day. ***A small/medium vest will fit a man who normally wears medium/large t-shirts. (I originally ordered a large/x-large and it was WAY TOO BIG for him.)*** But other than that, i have no complaints!
