ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm 100g – Nourishing Makeup Remover & Deep Cleanser – Hydrating Face Balm for All Skin Types

I've used this cleanser for years, it smells lovely, makes my skin clean, soft, supple and dewy. I use it with a silicone , battery operated face cleansing tool and my mature skin has no blackheads, no large pores, no spots or blemishes and has a natural healthy glow.It might seem expensive but the jar lasts a long time and it is a premium product.I wouldn't use any other cleanser.

I love this cleaning balm. With just few days of use in my nightly routing I have felt my skin is more hydrated and in its best shape then has been in ages. Not only is this amazing, and feels wonderful. It smells gorgeous. I can not stop raving about Elemis products. They are super clean and great for the skin. Only part that give it a bit of downer for some people is that it has fragrance, meaning it’s a bit “dirty”, but I love it. Other wise it’s great product and will be using this from Now onwards !

This is the absolute business.I hate using soap, and most face washes leave my skin dry and uncomfortably tight, so I've been washing only with hot water soaked flannels, which has been fine but lately I've noticed my skin hasn't been its best.I decided to try this based on a raving review in a magazine, and I have to say I've been blown away.In just a week, my skin was clearer and softer than it's been in ages, and I've bought another 3 jars for family to share in the joy.Using it is a bit weird; it's somewhere between an oil and a wax like texture, you scoop a pea size amount into your palm, rub your palms together to melt it, then message it all over your face. Then, with wet fingers, massage again forming an extremely light foam - after a couple minutes massage, wipe away with a hot soaked flannel.The result is stunning; fresh, soft, beautifully clean skin - with a mild lemongrass/ herbal medicinal scent.I've been so impressed I bought the marine collagen moisturisers to use with it, and my 40 year old skin has looked better, plumper and smoother than it's looked through my entire 30s!Cannot recommend highly enough

Product smells strongly of star fruit which is kind of like a fruity spice scent. Difficult to explain. But it is so strong.I have sensitive skin so the smell made me nervous of trying it but I did a little patch test and then used it properly and no reaction which is great. It made my skin soft but felt I needed moisturiser straight afterwards. I have combination skin and felt nice but feel like this is perfect for oily skin.I used it all over my face including eyes. You have to be really gentle with the eyes, i found it stung/tingled for like a minute afterwards and then was fine. But it did remove my make up and waterproof mascara.I will use this pot up but the scent has put me off buying again. Especially as its quite pricey for what you get.

I'm super pleased with this! I dont tend to wear make up alot of the times but when I do i usually use any old oil and water to wash it off. I'll be honest it's the price of this item that attracted me and the positive reviews. The 20g size is perfect for me as it's one less huge bottle to carry around or store on a shelf for months on end.I have smooth skin but was shocked that after using this as my skin was even smoother. Infact it smoothed out the skin on my nose beautifully. It neutralised the level of sebum my skin was emitting. Sebum is good for you but I just had way too much around my nose. In the past I used charcoal strips etc for my nose but this does such a better job.I've added a photo to show you how much you get compared to standard 50ml pot. The 20gram pot is a very good size even if you use it everyday you'll get 1 month use from it. I also think its extraordinarily affordable for a "luxury"brand. So you can just buy as you need.I wet my face then use a little spatula to put the product onto my skin and rub that in really well. The scent I have picked up are rose geranium and lavender. It's Very pleasant and non irritating. I do find that using this in the day makes my skin quite shiny so it will be one I'll use only when needed or weekly which is why I am so happy they do this small pot.If you like the spatula I picked that up for free from keihls-they usually have them around. I use the spatula because i find if i wet my face first and use my finger then the oil inside turns a little white. So try not get it wet. But definitely buy this you wont regret it!

Upon reading the positive reviews I thought I'd give this balm a try. Does it remove make up? Yes and no. I find that it still leaves behind mascara and a bit of foundation unless you use it more than once. I tend to cleanse my skin with Micellar water after using balms just in case anything is leftover. Does it smell nice? No! I'd prefer if things were scent free or even have a light fragrance but this smells like a chemical waxy smell if that makes sense which isn't pleasant. I wouldn't recommend for sensitive skin, it gives a slight tingle on the skin and slight sting to the eyes too. I think there are far more better cleansing balms which are better value for money.

I haven't tried other Elemis products but I've heard a lot about them and after trying this cleansing balm I have to say the product definitely is worth the hype. However, it's quite costly for average consumer and I would like to believe that there are more affordable, as effective, cleansing balms on the market. Nonetheless, the texture is smooth with faint odour and you don't need a lot of product to clean your face, which means that whilst it's costly, it will last relatively long time for you. I have also quite sensitive/dry skin which the products handled very well. In conclusion, a great product if you can afford it.
