Software is NOT buggy! Clear picture, Phone and Windows software supported. View anywhere in the world.
(Review includes instructions for worldwide camera viewing - and Windows software)Biggest point number one: Many cameras come with old and buggy software, making them useless.I can confirm that THIS cameras phone software and Windows software ALL work correctly, and stably.Biggest point two: You can view the video anywhere in the world!I'v had my camera for about a month now, and have been using it everyday.I've had a great experience with it, and will be buying a couple more for other rooms in the future. The build quality is great. The black case is sleek, discreet and doesn't dominate the room it's in.It has rubber pads on the base so it wont vibrate of a desk. There's also a tripod mount which is very useful - I've hooked mine up to a monopod to see out of the window at night for approaching visitors (Photograph G).All the other reviews explain that you can use an Android phone, or iPhone to view the video stream - and you can.You can also log into the phone software to view the camera remotely! Your camera purchase also has unlimited Cam Server support - where when you set your camera to use your WiFi/network switch, the camera sends it's IP address and tunnels through to the Cam Server. When you log in - the Server tells your phone what IP address to connect to in order to view your camera - anywhere in the world! You really should set a strong camera password in this situation! The connection online remains strong over the hours I've tested it. Once the image froze, but I was able to view it again by restarting the Android phone software.Using Windows with the IP camera.Rather annoyingly there's limitations imposed on video plugins by new browsers - most noteable Firefox and Chrome.IE 11 works well. The first way of connecting up is by using the local network IP address - you can find it by connecting to your Wifi/Switch web-configuration page and see what IP the camera has connected to your network with. You then just type https://???.???.???.??? (the 4 sets of numbers), or by using a network sniffer. The login page will then appear! This is a bit of a long-winded way, so thankfully there's a second way that uses the same website the phonoe App uses, which means you can view your camera anywhere in the world.Simply visit : https://mipcm.com/ , and enter the username and password that you used when you installed theYou can see the *Windows* software in a webpage in photograph "I".Now we get on to why Windows isn't mentioned:The camera can use the classic Flash plugin in IE to view the video. There's about a 1/4 of a second delay in the video feed, nothing much at all, but I wanted to mention it.The second way is the "native windows program" that gets embedded in the webcam page if you choose "Install plugin". Firefox and Chrome have both stopped supporting these types of plugin, but IE 11 still supports them. There's a bug in Windows 10 though - IF you use the native plugin with IE 11. The little preview window with the tilt/pan controls doesn't update! You have to double click it to go full screen. (if you've got an older Windows version, it should work fine). The benefit of using the native fullscreen display is the video updates FAST - with only the tiniest fraction of a delay between actual movements and them appearing in the feed.If you use the Flash plugin in IE though, everything works fine - pan/tilt/brightness/contrast. You can set night mode, day mode or Auto. Everything you can in the phone software. But in your PC desktop! The video is certainly HD, is clear (I can read passing car number plates) and updates beautifully fast. The Pan covers about 340 degrees - but because the lens is wide angled, it means the display covers the full 360 degrees, and even overlaps a little. The camera can look STRAIGHT UP! So it's fantastic for looking up stairs - you won't need to angle the base to see up them. Looking down is around 45 degrees from horizontal, but the widescreen lens means you can almost see straight down. The pan and tilt movement is "averagely" fast. It can do a full circle in about 7 seconds. The IR LED (infra-red light emitting diode) glows a dim deep red to the eye when it's on. The invisible part of the beam is MUCH brighter, and it's this that the camera is sensitive to.It sounds suspicious that the camera only has 1 light, but after testing in a room - the entire room is illuminated brightly. Using this camera in an infants room is certainly recommended. There's no problems with its infrared brightness when all the lights are off. There's a two-way audio feature that lets you hear what someone near the camera is saying. The software doesn't constantly send audio TO the camera for your privacies sake. You simply need to click a clearly marked "toggle" to send audio to the camera. The power adapter is 5 volts, at 2 Amps - which means that it's easy to find a replacement if you lose this one. Or charge your phone with it!I had a problem using my Samsung S7 phone to program the camera - it didn't see the QR Code, nor "hear" the audio programming option.I tested my house mates Sony, and an old S4 Mini - and both worked to program the camera! Having only one S7 - I can't tell you if it's the phone in general that doesn't work, or if it was my phone in particular. If you have the same issue - it's NOT the IP Camera, so just borrow someone's phone (family member, friend etc...) to run the software to get the initial login setup. After that you can use any phone you want. ... it was just the initial WiFi programming.Overall this is a brilliant IP Camera, with a solid build, nice looks, and always on functionality.

Good quality, good price
I bought one two years ago to check on my dog when not at home and I recently bought this one again to set it in another place. This time was cheaper, although it is difficult to find the same model again. The image quality is nice as is the night vision, more than enough to watch my dog sleeping. I can't say about the motion detection as I have not used it.

Delighted
Great bit of kit. Would be 5 stars except I seem to have trouble with getting picture on my iphone. Having said that I checked remotely when at work and the picture quality was amazing. Work colleagues were impressed with clarity and I was delighted it works from a distance. Just have to improve connection while at home but I guess this is the right way round!

Excellent IP Camera
Great wireless IP camera, it's very easy to set up and comes with clear instructions. The app in which you use to control the camera is fantastic; it's full of features. The quality of the picture exceeded my expectations, considering the price I paid. Connection is very stable; I can move the cameras position on my iphone simply by swiping my screen right/left/up/down. You can record, take screenshots, it has built in two way audio (mic/speaker) and a motion detector. You can take pictures, video recordings and access them on the app or use an sd card for storage. The camera is small, compact and lightweight. The built quality is good and it looks pretty neat. Overall I'm really happy with this clever gadget, gives me peace of mind that I can monitor my home from virtually anywhere. Would make a great baby monitor too!! I've uploaded a picture that I took using the IP Camera at 1080p

It's good.
It's good but the cloud service is not that good. Anyway it's might be me but I find it near impossible to deal with the ICloud service especially the cloud account I don't get it at all.

Reasonable camera, non existent customer support.
I wanted to set the camera up to record a motion detected image to a NAS on my home network but the software (phone or desktop) does not appear to make this possible. Two attempts to contact the seller have resulted in silence despite Amazon stating they should respond within 2 working days (currently 10 working days). If you want a direct view indoors camera managed through a mobile phone app then this is a reasonable choice but for any other use or for helpful customer service, choose something else.

good item for price
very good and clear images and night vision is excellent. I would have given it a 5 star if the microphone was better, i would recommend it.

Great camera!
Excellent quality picture, really easy to set up through QR codes and works on both my iPad and iPhone. The app is really easy to use and has many setup options, which I wasn’t really expecting, so an added bonus. The zoom is excellent, as is the movement controlled by the device. The camera connected to my router, wirelessly, without issue and I was up and running within 5 mins. I will be buying another to cover other parts of my house!
