Yes, i usually cut the Yankee tarts into four pieces. Any kind of wax melts can be used, Tesco, Asda etc. I mostly use Bomb Cosmetic wax melts.

Is this safe to use around pets such as budgies and fish?

There's no harmless fumes.It will be fine. But I wouldn't suggest letting your budgie fly free in case it lands in the melted wax.

Can scentsy melts be used with this?

Hi you can put any melt in as long as you don't over fill
