BLU Vivo 5 Mini -SIM-Free Smartphone - Android 6.0 Marshmallow - Silver

This was bought as a spare phone while getting one repaired - I didn't fall in love with it.It's cheap, so you don't expect a great deal of performance, however this is slow even by cheap phone standards. If you're patient, everything works fine, but there are two issues (other than performance) that make this terrible.Firstly, the sound is awful and the volume button barely seems to make any difference. When you're listening through the speaker it's far too quiet, when using headphones it's far too loud. This doesn't appear to be a fault with my particular phone as other people have said the same in reviews.By far the worst thing about the phone though, is the screen. When viewing it absolutely square on it's passable, move the phone slightly and everything begins to go dark. Truly, truly awful.I've since bought my son a Cubot for the same price and it's head and shoulders better than this offering from BLU, which is disappointing as my wife has the BLU Vivo 5R, which is a decent phone for performance and looks.Don't buy this phone, there are much better phones for the same money, as I've since found out myself...If you've found this review at all helpful, it would be great if you'd be kind enough to click the helpful button below. Good basic android phone in iPhone 5 clone package. Don't expect miracles - it doesn't have much ram or a good processor.Its fine for messaging, WhatsApp, emails etc. If you fill the memory with apps it won't perform at all.Love it for what it is! ;) - a cheap phone. I use mine as an emergency back up and take it running as my S6 won't fit in the pocket on the back of my shorts.

I so want to love this phone, I like the colour, the handy size, the clear silicone case provided, and the quality of camera meets my needs although far fewer megapixels than what is available these days. Disappointments are that Google play store stopped working the 2nd day (I've got another app provider but msg re Google play pops up all the time). The SIM and micro SD card go in a pull out tray at the side which should be easier than removing the back but the tool provided to get the tray out broke very quickly. Also can't get the mp3 to play wma files.

I'm editing my review as I have had constant, worsening issues with the phone since. I had complained of instability and slowdowns, but the frequency has become unbearable. Even texting and receiving phone calls seem to tax the phone terribly. Previously I had stated I had not experienced the battery issues that others complained of - unfortunately I now know what they were talking about. Annoyingly the battery drain doesn't seem terribly consistent, nor does it seem to be inline with usage.This phone should probably be avoided for anyone wanting a smartphone. I am not a heavy user but even so I have found it to be false economy as I am already looking to replace it. If you simply wish to send/receive phone calls and text, well I can't recommend it for that either.

got what I paid for - cheap stuff. Very slow, bugging for anything including sending text messages, and really only worth using for taking calls so a 'dumb phone' is just as well for a similar price as it would be less troublesome. Battery runs out within hours too, and that's without adding more than a couple of apps.

charging time seems to be rather long. the picture quality is not top range. other than that, it gives plenty of screen space for a small phone. volume is quality. Its handy, esp with a touchscreen. its early days, but I enjoy using it.

I used it for about 2 months. I was strapped for cash and needed a phone. Bought this and instantly regretted it.Absolute chore to use. It looks nice (if you like the apple aesthetic) but that's all it has going for it.

Worst phone ever I sent it back after 24hrs. So slow struggles to work 1 app like Facebook and you have to charge it 3 times a day as the battery drains so quick
