Let the good things be repeated.
I had already bought the TP-RO 18 version in 2022, and it has worked very well for me. But changing the cutter every two minutes is uncomfortable, so I had to use two machines at the same time, but I can't get used to the palm-cable one anymore, so I decided to have another one... and the truth is that it has very subtle little improvements in the finishes, especially in the metal ones.It is compact, the material is good and it is not very noisy. With the 4Ah battery it is not inferior to other more expensive brands. However, the hole in the base of the router is a bit small; only 1" or less cutters fit through it. It only comes with a 6 and 8mm collet, which are slightly narrower than the commercial collets sold there, which is a problem if you have, like me, a stock of 1/4" cutters. But a 1/4" drill bit, a bench drill and you're all set.The accessories are fine; nothing special, but they're fine.

You also need a collet for 1/4" bits
This is a lovely little trim router. One of the reason I chose it was that I already had some Einhell batteries. In reviews this router seemed to be second only to DeWalt palm router, but much cheaper.I already had a lot of quarter inch diameter router bits, but this Einhell router DOES NOT have a collet for 1/4 " bits. It takes 6mm bits which are different enough not to fit.Solution is easy. Buy a quarter inch collet. The Makita 763637-1 Collet Cone is perfect (and available on Amazon). Now I can use all router bits. It is a pity that Einhell does not include such a collet in the box.In use this little router is lightweight and reasonably quiet. It has proved powerful enough for anything I have used it for: creating lettering on signs, rounding edges, etc.It does come with guides, dust extraction connector etc, but I haven't used those.I am very pleased with this item.

Handy little router
As with other power exchange machines that I have from einhell, this little router ticks lots of boxes. The only failing is the lack of a 1/4" collet. That is the reason for only 4 stars. The makita 1/4" collet fits perfectly and can be purchased via amazon.I do consider it to be good value and being cordless, to be easy to use without the encumbrance of power cables, truly portable.

Nice router but does not contain 1/4" collets
This is a great little palm router no complaints for the router itself but there are only metric collets supplied 6mm & 8mm where most router bits are 1/4", 5/16" or 3/8" at least in the UK anyway, luckily 3rd party collets are available if you search SP10174814 collet set you'll find them here on amazon (see my other reviews) the collets are good quality and fit nicely.Your have thought Einhell would supply imperial collets too hey? Aparently not.

BEWARE!! Non-standard collets!
This is a decent router for my light, and infrequent usage, but BEWARE! I (like many others, I've subsequently found) hadn't appreciated that the supplied 6mm and 8mm collets are non-standard for the UK, such that the standard 1/4" (6.35 mm) router bits will not fit. Further, Einhell don't appear to supply a 1/4" collet, and the 1/4" collets that are widely available will not fit the Einhell router because their outer diameter (10mm) is too large - they need to be 9.50mm OD.(If, like me, you want to use 1/4" route bits, my - not necessarily recommended! - workaround was to buy one of the widely available 1/4" collets and turn it down to 9.48mm OD, which worked. Alternatively, it should be possible to open-up an Einhell 6.00mm collet to 1/4" with an appropriate drill/reamer, if you can properly grip the collet - which isn't easy because they are designed to spring!)

Lovely and smooth
Not able yet to run it with any router bits in place but it runs very smoothly and has a lovely adjuster mechanism which should allow me to make more accurate cuts. One thing that stops me giving five stars is the collets the unit is supplied with - 8mmand 6mm. All my tools are 1.4” (6.35mm) and I think it is an error not to supply a suitable collet with the unit.UPDATE: A perfect fit for 1/4” (6.35mm) shank routers can be found if you order Katsu item SP10174814. Same it isn’t offered by Einhell
