Bought this last minute for a Greatest Showman themed party to go as Charity Barnum. Didn't expect much - these sort of things are usually on the skimpy side to say the least) but actually the fit was very good, maybe a bit on the big side. It was certainly long enough which was vert surprising. I'm 5'5" and a 10 - 12 and bought a medium. Very pretty periwinkle blue. Yes it looks horrendous when it turns up in a vac pac bag so a good wash and iron is definitely required. Yes the belt that comes with it is rubbish so I went out and spent £4 on stuff from Hobbycraft to make a better one. Yes I did wear it the wrong way round I realise now, looking at the pictures.. oh well.These days, it's pretty good value for money, to be honest. Worth a go for fancy dress for sure.

As advertised. Looks nice and good quality material. Will need a bit of time to iron as package is vaccume packed so quite crumbled but not a big issue. Arrived next day, although at 6:00pm so keep that in mind if you are hoping to wear on the day of delivery.

Perfect, absolutely loved this dress. Bought for World Book Day at school and was going as either Elizabeth Bennet or Eleanor Dashwood. It was a great fit, soo comfortable and I loved the colour. Taught the children a lot about Jane Austen just by wearing this dress. 👗 👌🏾💚

It's on the generous size, so I could probably have gone a size smaller. It's quite long too. IT IS NOT COTTON BLEND, it is polyester/spandex, and the sleeves and empire waist are not adjusted by drawstring, it's elastic. However, it is cheap, and it serves the purpose I bought it for and the alterations are only minor. However I would prefer the company not to lie in the description.

Good cheap solution for an outfit for the Jane Austen festival. Not the colour I expected. I ordered the darker of the blue options, hoping for more of a royal blue, but it's quite a grey blue. The nearest colour match on B&Q Valspar paint sample cards was Blue Chintz and Welly Boots (see photo).As others have said, it arrives vacuum packed in a flat plastic envelope so is very very creased (see photo). The laundry label says cool iron, but that had no effect on the creases, so I washed it (beware - the colour runs) and ironed it on maximum heat with a clean tea towel to protect the fabric. That worked and didn't damage the fabric.It came with a yellow ribbon for the belt which doesn't really go with the dress colour, but was long enough and decent quality. I will replace it with white. I will also stitch it to the dress at the front and add belt loops with white cotton to hold it in place. Otherwise I think it will just slide down as both ribbon and dress are smooth and silky.The neck line is very wide so it slides off the shoulders. I added a thin strap with press studs inside the shoulder seam to secure it to my bra strap to stop this (see photo). There are videos online on how to do this.The material feels nice and silk-like (it's polyester) and the blue-grey version isn't see through (people have said the white one is).The fit was true to size. I'm a 8-10 and the S size fitted nicely.The white gloves were bought separately - they don't come with the dress.

I ordered this for the Jane Austen festival. As it's only going to be worn once I didn't want to spend too much, but I was very happy with the quality and fit for the price paid. I am a size 12-14 and ordered a size Large. It's a good fit but there is plenty of room, so if you're a 12 a Medium would probably be big enough.I think the dress is well made, the colour is lovely and my daughter said I look fabulous in it. I am just under 5 foot 7 and the dress reaches the floor if I'm barefoot.My daughter ordered the same dress in navy and she's pleased with hers too. Now I just need to find some accessories!

Lovely dress with a perfect fit. Lovely material and great value for money. It looked beautiful in my end of year uni project photo shoot.
