1/4 x 1-1/2 Stainless Lag Bolt (25-Pack) 18-8 Stainless Steel, Heavy Duty Hex Wood Lag Screw, ASME B18.2.1 Commercial/Industrial Grade by Makers Bolt

I used these lag screws to anchor a cattle ally Gate to a set of double treated 2 X 12 boards buried in the ground. When using fasteners into treated wood, I have found that only Stainless steel will not corrode over long time exposure to soil and moisture. Years ago I used hot dipped galvanized or coated fasteners, but eventually they will fail. I have a board fence on my property that I installed over 30 years ago using stainless fasteners and they are still as good as new. Yes stainless steel fasteners are more expensive, but their longevity is worth the extra cost.
