The media could not be loaded.  What a cool chef's knife. I bought it to add to my collection because I thought it looked cool but once I started using it I was blown away as to it's functionality. It has a great weight, much like a German knife and feels incredibly comfortable in the hand. For me this is super important because I spend 8-10 hours a day with a knife in my hand cutting everything from vegetables to meats. I really like the fact that this knife is low maintenance. The type of steel that it uses (AUS-10 Japanese Super Steel) is corrosion resistant and holds a great edge so it doesn't need to be sharpened very often. After 2 weeks of heavy use in my commercial kitchen all I needed to do was hone it a couple times and I was back to razor sharp.This knife's design allows you to have more control over the types of cuts you want to make. Whether you are slicing vegetables or proteins, chopping delicate herbs, cutting a large piece of meat, or butchering this knife can literally do all of that. I personally like using the push cut with this knife as the elongated razor sharp blade does a great job at following through which makes cutting large pieces of meat and effortless task.Overall this knife is a hidden gem in the Shogun Series and I am so glad that I bought it. If you end up getting this knife my only word of caution is to be careful.... It's razor sharp...

As usual with Dalstrong, the knife is beautifully packaged & presented.It's well constructed, with a good, solid feel. This knife is sharp out of the box. It handles nicely & is also gorgeous.My only quibble, is that the knife is, (for my taste) just a bit too thick.From a previous purchase I know first hand that Dalstrong customer service is outstanding. (Amazon screwed up & Dalstrong fixed it).Great product supported by exemplary customer service is a strong win. Recommended

This chef knife is an awesome monster! Cut through everything with this with minimal effort! A blade so sharp it cuts super smooth! That ergonomic design that seems to cradle my hands and wrists I could slice and dice anything for hours since it’s super sharp too! And would you just look at that design? Such a sexy chef knife. I love this knife!

This has become my favorite knife. It's sharp but the blade geometry is unbelievable. It slices through vegetables with astonishing ease and 0 drag. Of the 25 plus different blades from Dalstrong, this one is the cream of the crop.
