I've had this product for 2 years now and haven't had any issues with the lock or chain. I put a little white lithium grease in the key hole when I bought it to lubricate the locking mechanism. You don't have to do this but I think it helps keep the lock in good working order if you use the lock outside in which it will get wet. The black cover over the chain is holding up well too and I have used this outside for 2 years.

Heavy. Handles weather nicely.

Lock and chain are excellent quality. Keys to the lock are solid better than your house keys and get 5 of them. My only grief is that for a bike its extremely heavy weather in a bag or wrapped around seat post, its massive. I would only use it at home or on a motorcycle would be ideal.

This lock and chain are AWSOME perfect size and it can be used as an awesome weapon

This is a strong chain - and very heavy - but way too short. I have a Honda Metropolitan and it's nearly impossible to chain it up to parking stations. Would be great if it were 8- 10" longer. It definitely needs more play.
