The product itself is well made and most likely effective for other hernia types but did not work for my right spigelian hernia located at the lower right side of my abdomen just below the belt line. I returned the item.

The edges are scratchy on the skin. It also bends inward on both top and bottom when worn for awhile, as you are supposed to do. The fabric is not comfortable and either wear over a tee shirt or baby powder bare skin. It does the job it is supposed to do.

Ordered the BLITZU umbilical hernia belt for my brother who ended up with the aforementioned type hernia after undergoing surgery for an inguinal hernia. Although repair would be his best option, he's hesitant given the result of the first surgery. He doesn't experience much pain with the hernia, but he's limited to lifting only twenty pounds and sometimes feels some weakness near the belly button. Ordered a S/M - he's a 36 waist - and it fits nicely. He likes how easily it adjusts, and the padded disk gives additional support. He is mostly wearing it for outside work...mowing the lawn, cleaning the gutters, washing his SUV, and says its more comfortable than he thought it would be. A very worthwhile buy!
