love the artwork, villains are very cool

I have the original book of the superheroes, I believe the villains book is better. Alex Ross is a great artist and it is proven with this book. Any superhero fan would love it.

The superhero book that Alex Ross painted was wonderful. There were a lot of characters in it that I thought he painted so perfectly that it amazed me. His version of Reed Richards was the best I’d ever seen. His version of the silver surfer was also amazing. I really liked his version of the beast. It was all just so lifelike that I felt like I was looking at the real people themselves.I was hoping for that same level of amazement in the super villain book. To a degree it was very amazing, but I didn’t feel that same intense pull that I felt in the superhero book. Several of the characters were stunning, especially the ones that were larger than normal human sized: Galactus, Modok…. He had the opportunity to paint such oversize versions of them, that you could really see the details and the personality behind them.All in all, it’s a good book. I’m glad that I have it. I just don’t feel the same level of amazement when I look at it. He also has the tendency to paint his women kind of overweight. It’s not so much that they’re fat, but they’re really thick. I guess that’s good to show healthy looking women, but, I guess I have just come to expect more waiflike looking women in comics; like we might see in a modeling magazine.

I have the HEROES version. This one came nicely sealed and very mint in condition. Love the art from the artist. Great for any collector!

This collection compliments the earlier Alex Ross superheroes set for the Marvel line and is a superior quality print assemblage of posters. The title came on to time and in fine shape from the vendor.

This is an amazing collection of prints, and the quality of the book is great for framing! However, there is a misprint in my copy so some posters repeated. As a result, I am missing 4 posters from the book (Lizard, Sandman, Doctor Octopus, and MODOK).
