This particular foam insulation was more stretchy compared to other brands which made it easier to wrap around the bumps on the car door. The texture and feel of this foam is more neoprene and less like a camping/yoga mat. The backing is sticky enough to adhere to the door's surface but you cant heat it up a little bit to get the glue to be more sticky if you need.For this to work as a "sound deadener", make sure to also use some sort of butyl rubber as the first layer. This foam alone won't help with the vibrations caused by the wind on the door panels, it just absorbs some of the sound waves.

Great price for the size of the roll (thickness and sqft). I've used this for deadening sound in my doors on multiple vehicles and for insulation purposes in vehicles also. It's easy to cut and get the backing off to stick in place! I've also used this under/behind some brackets where vibrations occur and have gotten those audible sounds to stop.Overall very happy with this product and have found multiple uses for it beyond just car stereo!

Extremely sticky and fragile (tears very easily). Easily will stick to itself and then is unusable. Tears extremely easily, so care must be taken when handling. Technique of sticking an edge and then pulling the backing out in the direction away from the stuck edge while gradually rolling the material onto the surface. This is especially necessary when insulating tight spaces, like car doors.Thick, looks good, and provides extra sound deadening & heat retention.

Extremely easy to install and cut! Thickness was a great addition to my car door.

They work amazing, the sound difference is day and night.

Not bad in terms of noise dampening but once cut and removed from the back the foam starts to shrink and deform. Also if you want to remove it without any traces afterwards good look this stuff is impossible to remove without residue.

Great stuff uses several different thicknesses. Whatever the glue used on it seems to be great as I haven’t had any come lose. Doesn’t seem affected by heat or cold.
