Great little number
Classic xmen comic book storyline.. I adore these minibooks great value, good artwork, solid storys. So the gift, its not the end of year storyline..this book is the filler building up to that. Still great value.

X-Men Pocket Book Volume 14
Latest instalment in Panini UK's excellent reprinting of Claremont's X-Men from Giant Size 1 onwards. This volume follows The Uncanny X-Men: Legacy of the Lost (Marvel Pocket Books) and collects issues 192, 193 (double sized), 194 and both parts of the X-men/Alpha Flight mini series, covering the first part of what would later become the Asgardian Wars. Claremont's scripts are yet to get too tangled up by Marvel continuity while decent art is provided by John Romita Jr on the regular series and Paul Smith makes a welcome return pencilling the Alpha Flight crossover.Hopefully Panini will include New Mutants Special Edition 1 and X-Men Annual 9 to complete the Asgard adventures in an upcoming book, but only time will tell...

Great format. Don't expect full size comic
Great format. Don't expect full size comic, but the color reproduction is spot on. This British publication collects many harder to find or out of print US trades.

Not very good. OK storyline
This book collects X-Men/Alpha Fight #1-2 and X-Men #192-194. X-Men and Alpha Fight comics are very long. It becomes really hard to read those in one go. The Artwork is really good. The Quality of this book isn't very great. The cover gets folded after a few days.Don't buy it. You can rather buy the Fantastic Four comics!
