I have been wearing Philosophy's Ballet Rose for years and was so upset when I found they had discontinued that lotion. I did a lot of internet research on trying to find a similar type of scent and found this Ouai Melrose Place mentioned. I tried it and am so glad I did! It is such a nice soft scent. Similar to Ballet Rose but not a duplicate but I like it just as much. I ended up buying the body wash as well and using the two together really smells nice. I love taking a shower at night and using them both before bed. It is such a great scent to calm for bedtime. In addition to smelling good I also feel it's very moisturizing with a thick feel to the body cream. If I have any complaint at all it is that I would like a body lotion in addition to the body cream. I see they do have a hand lotion option which I may get to carry with me for touch ups as unfortunately the smell does not carry all day. But overall I am very pleased and not so devastated about Ballet Rose being discontinued now.

This body cream is very rich, smooth and fragrant. It made my skin feel silky. It help to alleviate my skin's dryness. It goes a long way and I will buy it again in the future.

It smells so good - like a fresh, clean scent. The consistency by looks reminds me meringue just after whipping Its a very smooth fluffy lotion. When putting it on it absorbs nicely leaving NO After Greasy feeling. The next morning I noticed my legs looked hydrated, for me in the Winter months that doesn't happen. I'm 63 and my skin needs all the moisture & hydration it can get. I highly recommend this lotion for all ages. It clearly works!

Smells so amazing<3 Smooth and dewy, moisturizes my skin well

I love the way the body cream on your skin and leaves it moisturized, I’m on the fence about the scent. I’m really particular with fragrances more like used in a spa, which is fine, but I don’t like a lot of their fragrances. The scent does remain for a while but eventually fades , so I might be able to handle it, but I love the way it feels and moisturizes. I also ordered their Melrose fragrance and I’m not sure which one I can handle more. It’s also a little too perfumey.

So i purchased this without smelling it in advance. I am soooooo glad i did it smells amazing!!!! It has a fresh/sweet light smell perfect for the spring/summer. The texture of this body crème is very smooth and creamy. The hype is real ladies and gents. Make the purchase!

My first time experiencing Melrose Place scent was when I bought a travel size kit which contained the Detox Shampoo and Treatment Mask which was absolutely divine. It has a Lightly floral scent which is nice since I’m more of a vanilla warm gourmand type of girly! Next I tried the body cleanser next in a bigger size which was lovely, not too strong. ( thank goodness) Then alas id opt to buy the Body crème too. To my dismay it was not what I expected. After applying after I got out the shower I noticed the scent was rather strong… Infact a little too overpowering for my liking to the point it gave a me a headache .. womp womp. I’m aware that Ouai products are not Sephora clean (which is where I first saw these Ouai products) so I wish they remove some of those unnecessary ingredients. It is very moisturing but if you have sensitive skin and are prone to breakouts, I would highly suggest to steer clear of the creams as they contain Cupuaçu butter and coconut oil which is on the higher end of comedogenic rating chart. Will have to return the crème unfortunately because the scent is too strong for me personally.
