My TouchSmart 33862 Outdoor/Indoor SunSmart 7-Day Plug-in Digital Timer

I used these in my chicken coop and I originally thought they didn't work but then I realized that even though it was plugged in I didn't pull down on the chain that's on the shop light. And once I did it was on the on position and turned on at it's appropriate time. I like how simple it was to set the time.

Initially I bought these to use indoors to mimic someone being home, turning the lights on/off at different times of the day while I was away on an extended vacation. The set up is pretty easy, though the instructions provided could use more details. I ended up looking it up on YouTube for a better visual. I tested it prior to leaving and worked like a charm, and while I was gone, my neighbor (who was also looking after my place) said she kept forgetting I wasn't home because the lights were on; goal achieved. Then I thought, let's try it with the Christmas lights, and while they are all set to go on/off at the same time, they stager, which turned out to be way better.So, keep in mind of you set it, they timing may not stay in sync all the time. Also, once you plug it in, it will begin to work for the next day or the closest time you set it too, i.e. if you plug it at 6am for 7am it will turn on/off at the designated time, but if you plug it in at 8am for 7am, it won't work until the following day, even if you have an off time set. Hope that makes sense.

Not easy to program . With electricity changes on and off need ti reprogram

Do you hate setting alarms to turn your...uh...tomato's lights on? Forget to do it and ruin crops? Well, look no more! This timer is great as it has 2 time settings! Swap between the 2 for whatever the reasoning may be... Only one outlet but I connected a breaker bar (DISCLAIMER: Probably not safe, IT ISN'T!, but YOLO, right?) for a few more outlets! Pretty blue LED lights and LED screen with time and all kinds of functions I have no idea how to use! It's wonderful! I just thought the lights were perty...along with the timer's features of course! You will NOT regret this purchase, I swear!

Tired of buying timers where you have to google the instructions? Not anymore. The best quality of this product is that it is so easy to set with a TIME ON and TIME OFF feature. There's even a battery within should you disconnect the timer for a few minutes. I will no longer buy Noma timers - honestly, they are junk. Overpriced and impossible to figure. Spend a few more bucks and buy something that you won't have to buy again in a year. Great for outdoor use in rainy weather. I hope this review was helpful to you.

I use this plug in for the LED on my fish tank, the programming was a bit confusing at first until I figured it out. But once you play around with it a bit it's pretty good! I got it cycling now so that I know my light won't be on too long even when I'm not around which gives me peace of mind, and now that I have it programmed properly it hasn't missed a beat!It's a bit bulky and a little pricey in my opinion, but it works so I'm not really complaining!

Once you give the device a chance to charge, it works fine. At first I wasn't able to get them to work, but the instructions indicate you have to let it charge for 4 hours. They will not work until you charge them. I was going to return them, because they weren't working, then I re-read the instructions. I allowed them to charge, reset them, and they are working fine now. Once they charge, they are very easy to program.

Unlike what they say for ease of use, this timer is a pain ! It was on the higher end of cost for a timer so this is disappointing. It starts by saying if you cannot see numbers displayed you must plug it in to charge the internal battery. Well, after days of charging the numbers did appear. Unfortunately it's like looking at them through a fogged up mirror. The display is so faint that you can't tell what is being shown. For this reason alone I would advise not buying this product.

The cable placement really doesn't make sense when you go to use it....should have had a 90deg end if it was meant to hang. Lcd screen is very dim and can only be read at a certain angle. I'd probably buy something else next time.
