Why doesn't the motion sensor work during the day in auto mode?

This LED strip has built-in PIR & light sensor, it will only auto turn on when it detects motion within 3m in the dark, and will auto turn off if no motion is detected within 20 seconds.If you do not want light sensor, please cover it with black tape

What is the width of light strips and can I cut them?

The motion sensor light strip is 8mm wide and 2 pin. After cutting it, you can connect the remaining light strips by connectors.
