Excellent value for the money.
The guitar was delivered in the standard triangular guitar box. The guitar was wrapped and placed within the gig bag. Excellent fit and finish. The intonation was spot-on. The pots are wired correctly. The 3 way switch , neck, neck/bridge, bridge is wired correctly and has no scratchy sound. I did replace the stings as a matter of course. The tuners are solid and tight. The pickup are OK, but perfectly adequate. The neck is flawless. No razor frets, dead frets or high frets. Action is low with no fret buzz from 1-22 frets on all 6 strings. The side jack is tight. There is an adjustment wrench for the neck action. I have many high end +$2000 guitars and this is a good looking, well playing, good sounding instrument. The only change would be pickups according to your taste but the stock are just fine. I've played much more expensive guitars at Guitar Center and Sam Ash which did not look, sound or play as good as this.I was going to buy a DIY kit and just play with the assembly, but then I found the Monoprice guitar for less money then a decent DIY kit and it's already setup. I'm very happy with this quality and purchase. For $226 delivered it's a no brainer.

Bottom line price is hard to beat
Bottom line for the price of this product is hard to beat. Some items were not 100% as advertised. I did have to take it to my local guitar shop for a little bit of work. That’s that I’m still highly satisfied

Guitar came with wood shavings stuck to it and wood dust - obviously not setup in Cali
The guitar itself looks great and plays decently. The electronics are on par with epiphone mid range guitars and the neck feels okay. Front pickup is very warm but the bridge pickup is duller than expected. Overall, jammed with it for about an hour and didn't have any issues that stopped the jam on a 15 wat tube amp. Intonation is barley acceptable past the 9th fret. However, the guitar did not come set up. Terrible fret buzzing upon arrival. Once plugged in and loud the only way to hear it is with your fingers. So it does effect playing by giving more feedback through vibrations. Going to see if I can fix that (i'll update soon). The frets need more polishing and work on the sides of the neck - some are slightly sharp. Noticeable compared to a good guitar. Guitar came with wood shavings stuck to it and wood dust - obviously not setup in Cali because they would have wiped off the garbage, polished the frets, set the intonation, fixed the buzzing, and actually tuned the guitar.edit 1: in order to remove the fret buzz I had to raise the action dramatically. still playable but less comfortable than original action - however less fret noise. Also, I oiled the fretboard added new strings and wiped off all the wood shavings. I used honey fretboard oil and a set of rotosound 10s. Guitar came with 10's on it unstretched and overall muddy sound with almost no acoustic punch. The fretboard looked so dry I was worried about cracking. 2 treatments later the wood is hydrated and smooth again. All these things should have been done by the master Luther in cali. Also, under the cover for the truss rod there's a very strange white clay-like material stuffed in a hole that looks completely out of place. 1/5 Wood shavings?edit 2: Was able to properly intonate the guitar. Almost bottomed out on the Low E but that's expected with a cheap bridge. Buzz is gone and it plays better than my brother's Epiphone special 2. Not as good at my fender jap strat but it definitely gives humbucker tone with okay playability. It doesn't play well enough for me to want to invest in improvements. If the neck was better quality I would plop in some seymour duncans and go to town. 2/5 It now has proper intonation.

Incredible quality for the price
I was amazed at the level of craftsmanship on this guitar for the price point. I couldn't find a single flaw in the finish, the hardware seems solid, and the sound is great. The only weak points are that the tuning heads are not top quality (but do keep the guitar in tune), and the pick-ups are slightly microphonic as some reviewers mention. Others have wax dipped the pickups or replaced them with high quality ones, but they are totally serviceable as is. You will not find a better made guitar even for several times the price. It was well packaged, shipped fast, and with a quick tuning is ready to play right out of the box. You will not be disappointed.

Beatiful guitar
So far, so good, excellent guitar, sounds very nice, the guitar came set-up ready to play, all I did was tune it, action was perfect, no sharp frets, beautiful finish, I wish they had a vintage sunburst, but this one will do.. Thanks, like I said, the guitar has a beautiful finish and sounds awesome!!!! P.S. it came with a very nice gig bag also...

Intonation can not be adjusted with poor quality Tune-o'matic bridge.
Guitar strings made buzzing sound when played. Could not adjust intonation with tune-o'matic bridge. Saddle screws were to tight and would not allow full adjustment of string Saddles. One adjustment screw head broke off when I tried to adjust it. Guitar sounds good except for the buzzing.

Up date
$200.00 for a set neck 60's Gibby copy. Well worth it. 50.00 for a setup & now I'm looking for a case. Guitar is on par with any of the big boys. Head stock gets around the lawsuit. I use pedals so pickups aint that big of a deal (it's weakest link). Funny thing, mine did not come setup, but included a crazy owners manual .....Just installed 1970's Dimarzio Paf & Super Distortion & rocks like a raped ape

Great deal!
This is a fabulous guitar. Playable right out of the box, action fine, intonation and frets perfect. Beautiful finish, pickups very nice, gig bag a nice bonus. Wish Indio had more variety - i would buy more. I also have the solid spruce top Idyllwild acoustic - best acoustic I've ever owned.
