GUTINNEEN Wooden Sandbox Backyard Sand Box with Cover, Outdoor Sandbox for Kids with 3 Toy Bins

We purchased this sandbox for our daughter for her birthday in April. Easy to put together and I loved the canopy during the hot summer. The canopy is a little difficult to raise by yourself but it can be done, I'm 5'4" and have to go slow, but get it accomplished. My husband can easily raise it with no problem but he's 5'10" with a longer wingspan. The canopy cover (thin canvas) has not weathered the summer well, already developing a hole where rain water collects. We patched it with some duck tape and has helped keep the water out. The benches are easy to open and close and are sturdy. I would definitely recommend this for anyone with kids.

Easy to put together. Kinda of feels cheap but we've had it for a year and still in good shape.

For the dollar amount, it is worth it. The design is great and I will probably one day replicated it (maybe scaled up a bit) using actual lumber. The thing is made out of very, very soft fir. It won't rot, but it will break. I was gentle with assembly and everything is intact and will survive probably as long as my kids' interest in sand boxes does anyway.If you priced treated lumber from a big box store to make your own, it would cost twice as much just for the wood. Yes, this is made out of low-grade wood that isn't that sturdy, but what do you expect for the price?

This is sturdy and I love that it has shade and can be closed up. My grandkids loved it and we were all able to enjoy sitting outside while the sandbox kept them busy. My daughter and I put it together. There was some confusion with the instructions but we figured it out!

Do not waste your money on this sandbox. If I could give it 0 stars I would. I got it a month ago on Christmas for my 2 year old and it’s falling apart. It doesn’t have a floor, just a cheap piece of fabric that is falling apart and sticking out of the bottom loosing a bunch of sand. One of the side panels is completely busted open loosing even more sand. Not worth it.

Sun canopy especially for hot climates.Note : once you select a spot it will require time to relocate if necessary so choose the location wisely. Think about sun, or general family or animal traffic in the yard.* Definitely worth the purchase a must have for every toddlers backyard.

This product is cute, but fairly difficult to assemble. I’d recommend getting your own screws that are a little bigger but won’t split the wood. Maybe even consider some thicker pieces for the canopy part. Two days after assembly we had some wind and rain, needless to say, it tore one bench off and the canopy part as well which split the wood. Also, a tarp at the bottom would probably be better than the material provided as it rips easily.

The base and seating of the box work great. The top is almost impossible to move up and down by yourself. It is flimsy and a decent wind will rotate the canopy, no matter how tight the bolts
