As a woman of “a certain age” I guess it’s time to start taking care of what I’ve been given! I have pretty good skin overall, especially for an old lady of 54, but I’ve recently embarked on a new season of skincare - and now I’m finding I need some tools to facilitate my new hobby.Most of my serums and oils require a straight “pour” or come with droppers that don’t really pull up enough product so, being a solution-oriented person, I did a search for roll on bottles and found these available for me to order and review.So far, so good! They’re a good size - at 3.38 oz. they’re a tad too large for TSA, which is a bummer - but otherwise a good size for things like my oil blend of castor, jojoba, and grapeseed oil. I can roll this onto my hand or even directly on to my face/body. I realized while I’m writing this that they might even work to get some oil into my hair/scalp without requiring 87 washes to get it back out again!!They were delivered quickly but contain no instructions for use (not that much is needed) - you unscrew the roller ball and fill the bottle with your concoction. The one thing that took me a minute to figure out is that I had to remove the seal to allow the product to flow; once I did that, we had good movement! I tried plain water which is obviously quite thin/fluid so the bottle did lead when turned over.Although the bottle is a bit big they could also be used for OTC creams or thinner ointments - think arthritis relief, the sort of thing you don’t really want to smell on your hands all day.Final thoughts - while these are perfect for personal use here at home I don’t think these would be the best choice for professional/small business use, they feel a bit flimsy and “cheap.”Four stars because I really had to work to get that barrier out - adding a tab for easy removal would be great, and then you could reuse it for traveling.
