Magnetic Dipstick (GE-231) for Champion Generator Model Numbers 201176-TriFuel, 201175 & 201178 (CAN)

Works great on the generator. Threads were perfect fit.

Perfect for my Champion 9000 watt tri fuel open frame inverter generator model # 201176. Wish it was a different color because it’s too similar to the oil so can be harder to visually check oil level. Keep your original yellow dipstick.

It works in a Champion Power Equipment 8500 Watt Inverter Generator Electric Start Dual Fuel with CO Shield, Model 201175. It seems pricey to me, but it fits. It needs clearer markings to determine oil level.

Nice fit for the Champion Tri-Fuel Inverter. This will be a good way to catch any metallic wear particles since the motor doesn’t have a filter. As one other reviewer said, it is almost the same color as fresh engine oil, so keeping the original yellow one isn’t a bad idea. You can still read the oil level from it, there just isn’t a whole lot of contrast.

The magnetic oil dip stick should be a part of generator maintenance. It’s critical during new generator break in.

Did not fit my Champion Power Equipment 8500-Watt Electric Start Dual Fuel Home Backup Portable Inverter Generator. The threads were too tight to let the dipstick screw all the way in. Quality seemed good. Other reviewers have stated the magnet fell out. By looking at this I can see how that could be an issue. I would not recommend this product.

Like the other review stated, this is the exact same color as the oil and you can't see the oil level on it. Keep your original dipstick if you have it. Helpful note: It should be obvious that this is solid metal and will get hot from the rest of the engine. Always use gloves.Used with the Champion 201176 Tri-Fuel Inverter Generator before the first run. It pulled quite a bit of tiny metal particles out of the oil during break-in.
