The ink itself good. When lino printing it drys superficially in an hour, but where the ink is thicker it obviously takes longer to dry. For this reason work should not be stacked together until thoroughly dry and this be 4-5 hours.My problem is when ordering colours as the images do not reflect the colour received - Prussian Blue in reality is almost black, although in parts of one it is the sea colour I was looking for. Was I supposed to dilute the ink??? The Burnt Umber is a mustard colour and not like the dark brown indicated.In order to get nearer the colour I wanted I decided I would purchase white but found it is out of stock, and then checked out a primary colours collection - there is no yellow.Given that the ink pots are expensive because they hold more than others, the outlay can be considerable - a little goes a long way but if you are not going to do a lot of printing, you may want to explore what else is available. After looking at the options, I decided to choose cheaper collection (100 mg in each pot). I will try mixing these inks with the Ocaldo inks and see if there are any problems.( When planning a project don't forget that the lino needs at least2-3 'seasoning'' prints before achieving better quality, and you will need plenty of drying space. It is well worth getting a barren if you don't have the luxury of a lino press.!!)

I also purchased Prussian blue ink. Please ready review . The quality of the ink is fine. My problem is with the images of the colours e.g. the burnt Umber is a bit darker than the rating stars - French Mustard, and not the 'nearly black/very dark brown' in the screen image. it is more expensive, but you get 300 mls. for your money You will have to balance your decision with the amount of printing you are actually going to use - it will go a long way, -and if you want more colours - (there is no yellow, or a white (out of stock) to lighten the Prussian blue and generally create more shades, it all becomes rather expensive compared to some of the other products advertised on Amazon.

I found it too liquid and did not print from Lino cut very well . Tried shaking it but to no avail.

Really good. Have used on some commission work (I'm a printmaker) and it's very decent for the price.

Lovely colour but full of sandy grit. From the writing on the label and other factors I would guess this is fake. No problem returning it so always worth buying from amazon directly.

It is watercolour paint and that is what I wanted, so it is just the ticket. It is easy to clean any spills.

good product, easy to use

I got this item in order to make some prints of an old Tibetan/Nepalese woodblock. Fortunately for me, I have already been taught printing techniques by someone who has a lot of experience. The ink itself feels about the right consistency - not too sticky and not too runny. I was printing onto some A3 handmade from cotton, thick Indian paper, which actually isn't as absorbent as one might expect. It took me a couple of goes before I started getting some good results as I haven't worked with this combination of ink and paper before. With this, as with many things, practice makes perfect.A few tips :- Have plenty tissues on hand for wiping smudges etc. Use the roller to get an even coverage and work the ink until you hear it 'ripping'. Take account of the air temperature as you need to be a bit quicker if it's warm or hot. - Drying time. Make sure you work on a completely flat and clean surface. After printing, wash everything thoroughly and leave the roller upside-down when drying or it will develop ridges. Plan everything in advance and do a few dry runs before you start to avoid wasting expensive paper etc.Lastly, have fun but make sure you know what you are doing.The ink works perfectly well, so, if you get irate, try not to dis the product by giving it rubbish reviews.
