I dont nothing about metal detecting as I'm new to the hobby. This was my first detector and I've found all sorts off coins, some where silver, easy to use, headphones could do with being softer around larger ears, but all in all would highly recommend for first time or as a spare

Gave this to our grandson for Christmas, went for a walk on the local waste area we walked about twenty yards and located 2 coins 2 inches deep with a number range of 65This unit works perfect and we would recommend to anyone
