I have own over a dozen 12 Volt Bosch Tools and have never had a battery Fail to hold a charge wish I could say the same for my dewalt 18 & 20 volt Batteries

It works perfectly fine with no problems and behaves the same as the original battery.

Bought this for the heated coats, and maybe for the various 12v tools I have. The 2ah that come with the coat only last a couple hours on high. This one lasts all day! Really great. Got it on sale for 36 bucks..worth it.

Strange how Dremel doesn't want us to have a spare battery for the 8260, especially when you factor in how much money they are throwing away by not offering this battery as a spare to the 8260. It made me hesitate when purchasing this with the thought that maybe the 8260 wasn't designed to run as long as a 2nd battery would allow it to run. Luckily they do make a spare battery that fits after all because it's been a few months and there has been no sign of trouble with the use of this 2nd battery. This battery fits the 8260 perfectly. It works great. There must be so many people out there that could benefit from knowing this but have never stumbled onto this info. So this is me trying to get the word out to help others.

This battery was fairly expensive to start with at almost $50. Began to notice it wouldn't stay charged very long, in spite of frequent use and complete charge/recharge cycling. Then after only nine months it completely died, would not take a charge or power the tool anymore. It has correct (at least, correct-looking) branding labels to be authentic Bosch. Got on the phone with Bosch support, where they wanted the serial number off the battery -- I never would have expected a battery to have a serial number, being basically a consumable item. So when I originally received it, I wrote the date on it with a paint pen, apparently on top of the serial number. So in removing the paint, I apparently also removed the serial number, further proof in my mind that this was a fake. Granted, you don't expect one of these to last forever, but I think you can reasonably expect three years, give or take.I explained what had happened to the support guy, and to Bosch's credit (and my pleasant surprise), he escalated the ticket and they sent me a replacement even without the serial number. It arrived in one of those awful clamshell packages, but it did come directly from Bosch, so I'm pretty sure this one is not fake. Recorded the serial number from it in a safer place, because it still looks like it could be wiped off if something like acetone is used to clean it.
