Plug and play
I bought this disk reader to transfer/program my new laptop from my older programmes from disks. It did the job well.

Rather fragile but it works well.

Arrived with broken part. But seems to work ok.
There was a rattling (like a loose piece of plastic) inside when it arrived, so i popped off the rear feet and undid the two screws allowing me to pop the lid off. Inside one of the front clips had broken off and was bouncing about. I removed that and reassembled. It was surprising as it arrived well packaged.I've attached it successfully to a mac pro to test and it seems to read disks fine. I've not tried writing a DVD / CD yet (need to hunt out my dvdr's). No reason to suspect it wont work, will update this review if i find any issues. All in all not bad for £15, the broken clip is all that stopped me from giving it 5 stars but as it was easy for me to remove and does not affect the drive in any way i dont see any point in returning / getting a replacement.

Does what it says
Does exactly what you would expect.I really like that the USB cable is "fixed" to the product so impossible to loose, and it stores nicely in to the body of the drive so is very compact can't get tangled up and is easy to carry. Two downsides that cause the one less star.1: the cable could do with being just a bit longer. I can't place the drive on the computer (tower/gaming type) and connect to the USB ports on the back of the computer.2: the eject button is a bit small and is a bit fiddley to press in with chunky fingers, but not impossible.

Not great
I've found changing disk on both Windoz 10 & 11 causes the dive to stop working and I have to unplug it and reinsert the USB connector.
