Engaging and Well-Made Toy for SuperKitties Fans
I have an overall positive impression of the Just Play Disney Junior SuperKitties Su-Purr Charged Ginny to the Rescue plush. The quality is good, and the design is vibrant and appealing. At 12 inches, it’s much bigger than I initially expected, but that’s actually a great size, especially for toddlers who love to cuddle their toys. The interactive features, like the lights and sounds, seem very engaging for kids. I think younger fans of the SuperKitties show will especially enjoy hearing familiar phrases and watching the heart charm light up. Despite being lightweight, the toy feels durable and well-made, so I don’t have any concerns about it holding up during playtime. One thing to note is that it does require batteries (which are included), so there’s an electronic component to keep in mind. However, you don’t need to worry about supplying your own batteries right away, which is a nice touch.Overall, I would definitely recommend this toy to any young fan of the SuperKitties series. It’s fun, interactive, and the perfect size for snuggling after play.

The granddaughter is smitten
Since my granddaughter is such a fan of Ginny from the Superkitties I thought I would order this plush toy for her. I must admit, when I took it out of the box I was not overly impressed. All the colors are fun and eye catching, but the fabric that she's covered in is shiny and feels cheap. She also doesn't do as much as I thought she would. I thought when her hand was squeezed she would say things, but all that happens is a short burst of the theme song. She uses some type of pretty obscure batteries, but at least they were included, so she could start "singing" right away. As unimpressed as I am with the quality of her, my granddaughter loves her to pieces, and I guess that's what counts. When I ordered her she was selling for $16.99. That seems pricey for the materials used, so I cannot recommend her.

Noisy Giggles/Purrs; Flashing Lights; Worrisome Batteries; I Don’t Get it; but Kids Think it Su-Purr
What am I reviewing?I am reviewing Disney Junior’s Super Kitties Ginny to the Rescue Plush / Doll. How was Ginny presented to me?Perfectly within a Su-Purr colorful, fun, retail oriented stiff cardboard package. It’s formal and professional. Ginny was within the box, loose, with no plastic bag to protect her. The package has basic information in multiple languages, which adds to the difficulty of reading it, since the print is also very small.Initial impressions:Purr-fectly cute, but.But what?Ginny is “not” purr-fect. For instance, her flashing light is not centered in the area of her heart. The sound is not adjustable, to change what she says, I must make entry into her back and operate the three (3) position switch. The center setting of the switch is off. The lower setting is one light and music show, and the top is another set. So, if I want to change her light and music show, I must go to the battery pack and change the switch settings. Noise, it’s a tad loud, at least for me and there is no volume control. Further, there is a flashing light, again, off center. I usually do not allow my children to watch flashing lights of any sort. Funny, Disney warns about that in their movies, but it’s here. [Further, I would have purr-ferred Ginny was within a sealed plastic bag, to maintain her integrity. Yes, she was in a box, but I’d prefer further protection.Any tag?Yes and no. There is no paper retail tag, but on Ginny’s wrist is a paper try me tag – push her paw for sound and lights. Further, there are three (3) sewn-in tags attached to Ginny, around her tail.Care instructions?Surface clean – noted on a sewn-in tag.Information sheet? One provided; however, it has microscopic print.Batteries needed?YesBatteries included?Yes, however, the notes on the information sheet noted these were demonstration type batteries, so, life may be limited. How many batteries?Three (3)What kind of batteries?Button cell! (LR44) – three (3) / demo batteries.Any significant warnings?Yes, about those batteries. If swallowed, severe injury and/or death could take place within two (2) hours. That scares me. Why could this not have been invented with different batteries?Any disappointment with this?Yes, the misaligned flashing light and those dangerous batteries.DetailsIn this near (11”) tall plush / doll, Ginny’s black and violet-eyed, multi-pinkish furred face is immortalized in a subtle, heartwarming, closed, thin-lip, smile; wearing her uniform, that has textures, such as an embroidered outline of her heart. 11” x 5” x 6”.Huggable?AbsolutelyAccessoriesNone.Sounds offered?A bunch – singing – laughing – purring, for instance. Can Ginny stand? No, not on her own.Can she sit?Hmm, her head is rather large and causes her to easily fall from the sitting position.MovementYes, legs and arms - manual.ClothesPermanent outfit. Seems sturdy and durable.Portable? This is truly portable, which I like.LooksColorful, but modern plushie good looks.Certifications?CPSC – An importer of a “child's product,” which arguably this is, as it’s not intended for adults, must certify their product meets Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) safety standards. I really did not see easily identified full tracking information on the packaging. That’s a negative, however, the packaging does not appear to claim this is CPSC certified. What information is or is not on the packaging? (1) The Manufacturer, hmm, I say no, there is no reference of the name of the Chinese manufacturer, that I could see; (2) Date of production, no; (3) Batch number, I did not see anything specific; (4) Place of origin, somewhat – China; (5) eMail support, yes. There is also an address in the USA and a toll-free telephone number. I will let the reader decide applicability of this certification and whether compliance was achieved.OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification – which is one of the world's best-known labels for goods tested for harmful substances. In my opinion, goods with this certification gives me confidence the product has a high safety threshold. I did “not” see that certification here.UL/ETL listed? My understanding is that such certification, from UL/ETL, “may” be possible with children’s items. I see no certification/service mark from either UL/ETL.RoHS certified? No.RoHS stands for?Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS), which are European Union rules restricting the use of hazardous substances to protect the environment and public health.ComplianceASTM F963 – A set of standards that must be complied with issued by The American Society for Testing and Materials, known as ASTM International. I do see this regarding Ginny, on her tag. That’s a positive.Bottom-lineI am mixed that I selected this. For instance, I have a slight concern over the misaligned flashing light but sorely concerned about those three (3) button batteries and that cautionary warning. Yes, the battery enclosure has a screw enclosure, however, the thought of that being present just unnerves me. The price is reasonable.Material?Polyester.Fit & finish?Superior.GiftableYes, a great collectible.Country of origin?Made in ChinaDifficulty using?None, keep as is, as a collectible or simply remove from the box and play.Weight?Ginny is near five (5) ounces.Durable?Yes, she has no loose threads or seams that are falling apart.Part of a series?Yes, Super-KittiesDate of manufacture?UnknownDate received?September 2024Officially licensed?Tag notes it is.Rating? With the above considerations, I think Ginny could have been five (5) star’s but for the concerns noted above, with them, she is four (4) stars at best, for me, even her head seems a tad too heavy for her body.I hope my thoughts had a tad bit of additional information.

Perfect for a superkitties fan
My 3-year-old loves superkitties and was very excited about receiving this. It lights up and has different sounds and songs it plays when you squeeze the paw. She has been carrying it around with her and sleeping with it.

Huge hit!
I am very impressed with the quality of this Ginny doll! She says several different phrases (but good luck NOT singing "paws out, claws out!" all day). The value is great and my son has SO much fun with it. I would absolutely recommend it for Superkitties fans!
