Great heater. Kinda small but I'm using it in a coop and it working good. Does not illuminate.Watch for sharp edges.Keeps my chickens cozy and warm on cold nights.

I should have paid more attention to the measurements given instead of the images in the listing. While it operates well, it is only 14" long. I have a 20"x10" goat barn, so this item is obviously not going to heat that much space. I'm using it anyway, and it does seem to keep the barn slightly warmer than the outside ambient temperature. I think the sizing of it will work great for brooding chicks in the Spring so I'm keeping it for that reason. The light indicators on the switch are very helpful to see from a distance if the heater is on/off.

This was purchased to keep chickens warm in their coop on cold nights. The metal housing is a bit flimsy as the material is quite thin, but the finish is very reflective and reflects a lot of heat for the size. There are replacement elements that can be purchased on Amazon, so that is a nice feature also. The installation was straight forward and simple. The chain hangers provided easily hold the heater. Overall, this is a great product and worth the money.

Doesn’t get hot at all. It radiates very little heat. Might work well in a very small contained area.

Bought for our outside coop. Puts off a lot of heat and does amazing job for our babies. Manages to keep 33 babies warm and healthy without issues. Easy to put together. Great quality.

The instructions are clearly written by someone with a marginal command of the English language. Ignore words like "lampshade", "designated position", "screws" when they mean screw, "insturction" is not a word. That aside, this lamp is surprisingly good. I've used it on 35 rangers chicks for a week now. Normally I use a 250w heat lamp, the chicks cluster under the lamp. This lamp the chicks spread out which is good. It also uses far less power. For me, this lamp has exceeded my expectations.

This was a lifesaver for my chickens this winter. I don't normally heat my coop because most heaters aren't safe. This one was wonderful and did a good job keeping my chickens warm during a cold snap. It has two modes on the controller but I only used the higher setting. As long as this lasts another year it will have been worth the money. Michigan is cold.
