I’m not sure this is an entirely accurate review. I’ve only used it once and I already had a bit of a tan before using but I am naturally fair skinned and will burn before getting any type of tan.I kept it in my house (ac on) before using so it kinda solidified? I let it sit out in the sun to melt a bit, when I put it on it was a nice application but there were hard things in it? It wasn’t straight oil, not sure if that’s because of the solidifying then partially melting?The smell wasn’t strong if there was any. I didn’t burn after using which is always a plus and noticed I tanned even more .The ingredients are clean so I feel really good about using this. Would recommend!

Ok so I still happen to have an intact original tube of BainDeSoleil no lie and it’s become coveted. I have been using BainDeSoleil since the early eighties and nothing even comes close for the deep bronze tan we all dream of. Now this is from the male perspective also it should be noted I’m not sure it matters but full disclosure. My little shorty tubes of BDS there were two are emptied and I was about to cave and open the original when in passing someone tells me there’s anew version and let me say I was very skeptical I was certain it wouldn’t be tha same and as far as aroma goes it’s definitely not the same but after using it repeatedly this summer I’m very hot weather I would say it works darn near exactly the same as the original and the new aroma isn’t all that bad and I’d say it’s growing on me so wow what a relief I have a replacement. This product smells AMAZING and goes on like silk. I was tempted to keep it simply because of how creamy and NON greasy it was and how nice it made my skin feel. I feel like that instead of getting "brown" I felt a little orangey in color. The lotion itself is not orange, but I don't feel like it deepened my tan at all.

Excellent gel for a hot sunny day. Provides more protection, and protects even when perspiration exists

It's not as good as the original Bain de Soleil, but it is a close second and it certainly surpasses the "other" replacement from "Vacation". If you liked Bain de Soleil, you will like Tan de Soleil. Downside: very expensive!

Absolute RipOff!!!!!the moment it was opened I could tell by the time tube it was cheaply made.Opened tube it smelled like diesel and was Not Ben de Soleil and I in No Way would spread that toxic goo on my skin!!!

The tiniest bit different from Bain de soleil but close enough. Tiny bit of spf and feels just as good!
