Q: If the cord breaks (the loop connection comes loose) - how can it be fixed?

It's a steel cord so it won't break, however, it can slip out of clamp as mine did. Hubby fixed with a different type of clamp.

Q: How long is the cord?

It’s long. We just doubled it because our pole is tall. It’s easy to double it f you need the feed higher like ours. I love this feeder and cord. I don’t have to worry about it breaking like others that we have had.

Q: I cant tell from the picture - does it have a hook at the top for hanging?

No. The cord that comes out of the top is looped and is ready to hang from the hook you provide.
