I suppose if you have small fish that require small-sized food it might work pretty well. But the product was advertised to dispense large food pellets; the reason I purchased it. The unit I received did not do that well at all. They bind in the chamber.

Better instructions would be nice
The instructions are hard to follow - I had to highlight, go step by step, recheck and fill in some missing "blanks". It does not deliver much product per cycle, but permits enough cycles to feed the fish.

Great for vacations!
Kept all my fish alive while we were away so, works great in that regard. However my only gripe is the amount of food it discharges. I ended up modding the delivery chamber by using some tape but it still dishes out too many pellets (I've only got 2 goldfish & 2 snails for my 3 yr old's aquarium). By the time I got back from vacation, the tank was pretty dirty from all the excess food, but changing out the water, about 10-15%, cleared it up. This is definitely one of the better and more economic deigns out there.I do recommend it for use while you're away, however it's not useful for the long term. I still prefer feeding manually a couple to three time daily rather than letting it just go on its own. A great added feature is the ability to attach plastic piping for funneling air through the food to keep the pellets dry.

The product advertised promises and would be good if it worked properly
The product advertised promises and would be good if it worked properly. However, the product that I received out of the box did not function properly, continuously in circulating, dropping feed motion nonstop for about half hour before I took the battery out which stopped the motion.The good news is the Sanatop seller rectified the problem by offering and then giving me a full refund. This refund changes my earlier unhappy review of the seller to a very satisfied one.
