Fantastic at twice the price
I've spent weeks reading reviews and pouring over ebay and Amazon after checking out the one local dive shop...I know how important it is to have a proper fitting mask.I really didn't want to make a mistake only to suffer while in the water. This mask fit me beautifully (and I have a huge head!) and the snorkel really performed well. I got the smallest amount of water in my mask and that was just because I didn't grab my nose in the right place, so when I equalized I got a little squirt of water that came up from the purge valve. But, it was the smallest amount. The ONLY time I got water in the snorkel was when I first put my head under the very cold water and took an involuntary breath in a little too deeply. But, one quick purge and I was free and clear. I've never used a snorkel that stayed this dry...in fact I was looking at the Tusa Hyperdry Max because I thought that if one little float works well (to close the snorkel) then, two would be better, right? Well, that cost twice that of the Promate snorkel and it couldn't have worked better.I've absolutely no complaints at all. In fact, I'll be grabbing another snorkel for my boyfriend. Fogging was a tiny problem until I started to use anti-fog spray and those little wide-i magnet wiper things...no problem at all. I'm thrilled with my purchase....and the price? Are you kidding? A lesser quality mask cost waaay more than the mask and snorkel set here.

Amazing Snorkel Set for people with a beard
I tried a few snorkel masks before finally finding this one from Promate. I always found it difficult to have a perfect seal with the previous masks due my mustache. The Promate snorkel mask surprisingly provides a snug fit without causing unnecessary suction around your face. A little bit of beard wax helps too. Love the one-way purge function as well on the mask - it's a pretty good feature for first-timers in case you want the comfort of breathing out from your nose once a while.

Works Well
I bought this because I need a dry snorkel my older snorkel was filing up with water and did not have a easy way to vent. The one way valve works well. You only need to breath slightly into the mask to vent it. If in a panic you vent too rapidly you may lift the mask off your face and allow water to enter. Love the whistle. I used it in a sprint triathlon a few days ago and did not even need to vent. It stayed dry for the entire swim. One thing did occur, it seemed that I was not getting enough air at end of race and I was experiencing a partial obstruction with inspiration. It was not the snorkel's fault. I had my head too deep in the water, trying to lower resistance, and in doing so the floatation valve in the snorkel tube got raised up and was causing a partial obstruction. Easy to correct just swim with head more level.

Great price for the set. Worked beautifully diving down to about 20 feet.
I bought this mask and snorkel set several months ago, but have been waiting to write the review until after an open water diving trip which took place this past weekend. I had previously only used it in the backyard swimming pool. It worked very well in the pool, with no leaking and minimal fogging. This last weekend I was able to go snorkeling and diving in the ocean off the Northern California coast. Goggles and snorkel both worked beautifully. Went down as far as about 20 feet without any problems. The purge function on both the goggles and the snorkel worked great at keeping water out.In all, I spend about 2 hours in the water on 3 consecutive days. Not a single problem noted with the set. I have no reason to think that it won't last for many more trips in the future. Very pleased with my purchase.

Total junk, and misrepresented product.
This mask arrived today. I excitedly opened it up and to my dismay I noticed right away the there was one eye glass gone… I thought, oh no it broke in shipping. But as I pulled it out of the plastic packaging I realized it didn’t break… they just sent me one without the glass… then I notice the rubber is falling off the plastic frame part… then I notice there is no nose valve to clear water like it says there is… what a pile of crap. How would someone not notice a diving mask with a missing glass piece and ship it out anyway is insane… also this mask looks tiny like a kids mask… I will not exchange I will return and find another brand to buy.

PROMATE SNORKELING MASK AND SNORKEL
This is a great mask and all but if I'm wearing my snorkel my mask won't purge air. Not sure if it is just my head size (which is very small) or the equipment or my technique but otherwise it is a great set of gear. It functions great and have had it for a while now. That's all for the mask on to the snorkel; the snorkel is definitely a dry snorkel it works great for the price

Solid set, won't let you down.
Used this on my honeymoon snorkeling in St. Lucia. I did a lot of searching around and settled on this...and was not dissapointed. It was comfortable and fit snuggly. Never once did I get a headache afterwords like other masks will give you.I didn't use an anti-fogging solution or any crap like that...and these puppies didn't fog up once on me. Just set them outside and let them come to ambient temperature and you're good to go.The snorkle is great...we had waves crashing over us and never had an issue with water coming down the pipe. Clearing the snorkle out after diving down is a simple process. Won't let you down.

Good but Fogs Easily
I recently purchased this snorkel for my 1-week trip to Maui. I snorkeled every day of the week, and everything went very well. Really liked the big-ness of the actual goggles themselves. Also, the pink snorkel made it easy for other members of my group to keep track of where I was above water, which is important especially if you plan to snorkel way out from the beach! However, this snorkel features the ability to blow out air through your nose, and because of that then it makes for goggles that can fog pretty easily. I tried using sea drops, which only worked marginally well. Funny enough, plain old spit seemed to work even better.
