Size:4 oz. Weld-On #3 is a water thin, non-flammable, very fast set solvent cement for acrylics. It will also bond styrene, butyrate, and polycarbonate to themselves. The initial bond forms very quickly but it will be approximately 24 hours before 65-80% of the ultimate bond strength is reached. The bond strength will continue to increase for several weeks.

works great once you get the can open
I guess this is for professionals and like one reviewer said, what am I supposed to WISH the can open? I needed pliers to get the lid unscrewed and even then it was completely sealed inside the metal, no top to pop off. I ended up puncturing through the top, and spilled a bit pouring it into the included applicator, BUT IT WORKS AMAZING! totally worth the effort to repair the lid on a large fish tank.

Thinner than water, but the adhesion (fusing) is excellent.
I had thought about ordering #4, but needed maximum adhesion (fusing), so I opted for #3.It is very thin (less surface tension than water) so I advise practicing and honing your technique on scrap pieces.Needed to repair a long -clean- break on a piece of plexiglass (wife's sewing extension table). I carefully aligned the pieces, secured it in 2 or 3 places with painters tape, and then proceeded to apply this solvent. It 'wicked' right into the joint and fused the edges nicely. Don't over-apply, and try to let it cure for 36-48 hours without disturbing or moving.

works as advertised
this is the only way i found to actually bond plexiglas. it works as advertised, i did not use the little bottle and point i use a syringe with a long tip like the one that came with it. seemed to work better. instead of removing the whole metal plug in the top of the can i just took a hammer and pointed scribe and poked a hole just big enough for the syringe point to fit in and draw the liquid out then stood my pieces edge to edge, edge standing up and when put a drop on the edge it soaked right in and down the edge perfectly no mess. within a minuet it was holding together. this unlike glue works by melting the two pieces together. i am using weld 3. i love this stuff and would recomend it to anyone wanting to work with plexiglas.

Best Acrylic Adhesive Yet
Proper gauge applicator. Smooth, controllable flow on. Fast drying limits flow. Does the job. The trick is what they all say, squeeze air out of applicator. When inverted let off pressure to let air in. This keeps adhesive in applicator. Then squeeze to apply adhesive. Move quickly and smoothly for an even application. I like this one.

Needle attachment arrived bent.
This product is supposed to be controlled by the needle applicator, as I had seen many videos explaining how to apply it. However, the needle attachment arrived bent and application was hard to control. There was no need to squeeze the bottle, as the adhesive would spill out upon being turned over and It would just pour out of all over the place. Looks extremely messy, but I hope it at least added strength!

Great
Other than pouring it into the squirt bottle being difficult, it is great

Literally couldnt open the bottle
Started off annoyed because I couldn't open the can - felt like it was glued shut. I needed to drill a hole in order to open it - then had to discard of the rest once I finished my project.

Good as it should be
This was the best priced official solvent I could find. It works very well and having the applicator come is nice. I needed to unclog it once.No leaks in what I've built after a couple months.
