Powerful!
Powerful!I had no idea that my previous light could not replace the bulb either. This is an awesome light it is very bright and I can even see the road in addition to alerting cars that there’s a crazy bicyclist on the road. I hope it lasts several years and then I will be more than willing to pay the money to buy another one of these as it is awesome so farIf you have a dynamo this is a great light to have on your bike

happy with this light
I had a dynamo wheel built by Peter White many years ago and ordered a B&M Lumotec Lyt N Plus at the same time. I have thousands of miles on the wheels and light and decided to upgrade to the IQ CYO T. I'm happy that I did: it is so much brighter and allows much safer evening riding. The former light worked fine but it was dim and I always had something else as a primary light unless I was caught out after dark unexpectedly. The new light offers enough light to be used as an only light. I will still ride with a light on my helmet when I expect to be out after dark but this would do as an only light. The standlight also lasts longer.I understand the criticism of the wires and the mounting system but they're the same as with my old light and I never had any problems with either; the worst thing that ever happened was that the wires would pull out of the dynamo -- never the light -- and they were easily reinstalled.Good product and, although I still think the cost is ridiculous, I'm happy with the light and expect to ride it for thousands of miles.

Very good light for the money.
I really like this light. For the price it is hard to beat. The plastic construction probably isn’t the most durable but I have it mounted on the crown fork with a handlebar bag over it. Can’t imagine an instance where it will take too much abuse. It is bright and the pattern of the beam is great for riding on dimly lit streets. I’m using it with a Shutter Precision front hub and it has worked perfectly so far.

Illuminates the Road, but Very Expensive
This light illuminates the road, but I have rechargeable light that do better for cheaper. Would not recommend.

My first dynamo light, better than expected
I bought this based on price and value. If you wanted a light which was brighter (100 lux vs 80 lux for the Cyo T Premium), or an integrated USB socket, that higher end light was double the price. I bought this light together with a SP D8 dynamo hub and secula rear light. Not being used to dynamo lights and using wires to attach from the light to the hub, I've accidentally ripped out the wires twice, when I've removed the front wheel without unattaching the wires first. Newbie mistake.I don't find the light stylish, but it works well. There's a good left/right even spread of light on the road, and don't be afraid to tilt the light upwards so it illuminates 10-15m ahead of you or more. It's not a 900 lumen blasting flashlight, but it spreads across a wider area. It even spreads downwards, lighting up your fork and wheels, and the light scatter even shines my lower legs a bit. The light helps both with helping you see the road in fornt of you, and with being seen by cars. The rear of the light is a big easy to grip on/off rotating switch. There are 3 settings and I don't understand what the middle one does, so I just use on and off.Do note that even if you turn the Cyo T light to off, my rear secula light still remains on for a few minutes before it's in built battery or capacitor runs out of charge.I've had the light for 7 months now. No issues so far. Just note the screw to the mount is a star shaped female part. Not allen key or normal screwdriver screw. There is no included screwdriver, so I had to buy one. Being less common, I had to buy a set, for just one piece that I wanted.

Good start
The electronics on the lamp are great. Using on a commuter bike which aids in night riding nicely. My only hit is the construction material which is at high risk for failure. I really don't like spending good money on product I'll need to replace soon. Time will tell.

I want to give it a higher rating as I love the way it works but the mounting point is this ABS plastic and breaks easily. If you bump the light it will break making it useless. B&M failed at the start with this mount, which doesn't make sense given the engineering that went into the rest! I've resorted to trying to fur the mount back on, wish me luck.
