SolidAlliance Corporation Fridgeezoo Fridge Pet (Penguin)

I originally purchased this guy for my wife who always leaves the reefer doors open. I'd been searching for a couple of years - all over. Then, what do yah know? Here is in good ol' Amazon!! It is so small... perhaps like three chap-sticks bundled together. Just look at the little guy - cute as a bug's ear, heh? Ok, it's cute, small but does it work? It is NOT so loud as to make a racket. It is Japanese so it can't be too loud. It "speaks" in Japanese so that is a major reason for my purchase. (Did I mention my wife is Japanese?) You open the reefer door and "Halow" starts the thing off. If the door is open a bit longer it asks if you are doing ok. After that it gets a bit more and more bossy. At some point it tells you that you have been opening the door too often or too long....After all that "talking", if you leave the doors open any longer you must be deaf! After all it is a sound that is to remind you to close the door. IT DOESN'T MAKE ANY LOUD BUZZES, RINGS, TWEETS OR WHISTLES, ETC.... It is fun, cute and it gets the job done.BTW....my wife hates being scolded by a little tiny Japanese talking electronic "pet". BUT IT WORKS! SHE HASN'T LEFT THE DOOR OPEN SINCE I PUT THE THING IN THE REEFER!!!!Thank you SolidAllicance Corp!!!

I was thinking long and hard about buying a fridge so that I could get a fridge door alarm feature. Ultimately I ended I up with this little guy instead. He's a lot more fun than your classic alarm, and if I leave the door open for a while I don't feel guilty because he doesn't yell at you when the door is open for awhile...he more engages in a conversation with you.Shipping did take /forever/ but it came from Japan I believe.

After much searching I landed upon the product to alert us to when our daughter had opened the fridge and to remind her to shut it back but we didn't want a startling screeching or buzzing noise like most of the fridge alarms on the market. This guy is great! It reminds her to shut the fridge door, lets me know that she is in the fridge and its even cute.

An entertaining way to remember to check the fridge: a nagging Japanese speaking penguin. It cracks me up. Appears to be light-activated, so if door is almost shut and light's off, it won't alert.

Fun! I hardly understand anything it says, but I guess Japanese Penguinese is supposed to be a bit tricky. It is annoying from the very start, but it still makes me smile.

He makes me smile every time I open the fridge.

Wow...this guy make me laught every time I open my fridge's door...he talks and it is funny...but I warn you..he speaks in japanese...

Love it. Reminds me of time I have spent in Japan and all the cartoony cuteness.
