Can you also use these crayons with a normal coloring book? Color stays on page but wipes off table...for example?

They are exactly like regular crayons, just differently shaped. I found they were really soft and snapped in my toddlers grasp.

are these crayons more durable

Yes and no. The tips break off easily but the rest have been pretty durable. We have had two sets of these crayons for at least 6 months; they are used regularly, mostly while traveling. We only have one broken crayon (not counting tips). The part I get frustrated with is the papers slide on them a lot. They make great crayons for use in restaurants since they won't roll off the table. That was our main reason for getting them.

Would these be good for a 1 year old?

I think I would probably stick to the large round ones for a 1 year old. I think these are more for trying to teach writing technique, and a one year old isn't really ready for that yet, they're just gonna fist it and scribble.  Hope this helps!

My crayons arrived with a thin film of white sand/crystal-looking film on the top of the crayons. What is it?only curious since being used by toddler

I am uncertain. My crayons were broken when they arrived and we didn't get to use them not did we get a response from the seller.

商品は期待していた条件通り！でも…

1歳半の子供がお絵描き大好きなので、外出先などでも使えるように①断面が三角などで転がりにくく、②水で簡単に拭き取れるクレヨンを探していましたが、なぜか国産メーカーさんのクレヨンは①②の両方の条件がそろったものが無く、たまたま旅行中に海外の店頭でこちらの商品を見つけ、帰国してAmazonで早速注文しました！商品としては条件通りで満足、テーブルにはみ出して書いてしまった部分もおしりふき等でサッと拭き取れます。小さな手でも持ちやすく、発色もよいので楽しそうに使っています。但し、クレヨラのクレヨンでは毎度の事ですがとても折れやすく、商品が届いて開封した時も2本折れた状態でした（返品など面倒なのでそのまま使わせていますが…）。またクレヨンを包んでいる紙がはずれやすく、握っている間にずれて、描く先の部分が隠れてしまったりするため、こちらは自宅て別に作成したものを巻き直して使っています。
