Needless to say nothing lasts forever including these water bags. If they are getting dried out or have micro cracked seams bacteria can get into the water. Throw those things out rather than take a chance for $15! Or water some plants. Of course you wrote that back in Oct 2012 so I hope all is well if you drank them.When I received mine last week they were already a few months old. I live in upstate NY where temps can drop well below freezing and into the single digits(both positive and negative) and have had them in there for about 3 years now. They freeze solid every winter and thaw every spring.
