This is fun to do and nice to look at once its put togather.
This was so fun to put togather. Not too easy...not too hard. The pieces are very sturdy and the directions are great as far as explaining how to put it togather. Once it's all assembled, you switch on the light...and it is so cool!! I still have it sitting on my coffee table with the iridescence light on. It would make a great gift for maybe 9 year olds up to 100!

Tres Chic
This puzzle is very cool. Despite the posted age range, I ordered this for my daughters (ages 3, 6 and 7) because they are obsessed with Paris right now. The 3-year-old is a great puzzler, but this was well beyond her capabilities. The other two hung in there with it though, and really enjoyed the final result. The pieces are strong, and I really like the hinged pieces that form the corners. Towards the top, it gets a bit tricky to make pieces fit and stay together, but we got it done. The numbering on the back is very helpful. In fact, this puzzle is really more about following a sequence of numbers than visually matching piece to piece as in a traditional 2D puzzle. The tower is broken up into three sections which gives you nice places to stop and take a break for a while.Lighting this thing up after completion is really what it's all about though. The changing colors are really cool, and the shadows it creates on the ceiling kind of make it feel like you're under the actual tower. We loved it, and will definitely look at buying more Ravensburger 3D puzzles in the future.

An hour or so of fun
I really appreciated the fact that there are 3 tiers to this tower and the inside of the pieces have numbers on them and arrows that point to the side the next number should be on. Made putting it together a lot faster and my 5 year old helped me find the next numbers :) It was a tight squeeze for a mans hands on the top portion where the top of the tower gets narrow, I had my wife doing the very top because of it. I would have liked to have a little more time spent on it and more pieces for the $20 price tag, but then again the light up base looks nice in dim or dark areas. So I am guessing that is where the price increase came from. I will be attempting a harder or larger scale puzzle in the future without the lighting (castle) and hope that it is a bit more challenging and/or time consuming.

Good puzzle
This was easy to assemble and a great puzzle for a gift! It is challenging but in a way that is fun for the family to put together! The light up features were very cool and made it look like the real thing.

First 3D puzzle ever and I love it
My first 3D puzzle ever and it was so much fun to put together. The pieces are very durable, considering you're required to bend the pieces that come with creases. This isn't a typical puzzle. Rather than trying to find which piece goes together (which I think would be almost impossible to do), each piece is numbered with an arrow pointing to where the next piece needs to go. I spent a good couple hours putting the whole thing together, making sure all the pieces lined up. When it was finally completed and I turned the LED on, it was prettier than the picture. The lights definitely made this even more special. You have the option of choosing white lights, or cycling lights (5 colors altogether). The base is basically the plastic container that holds the light in place and keeps the materials from moving around inside the box. So it's not a solid base and the edges are a bit flimsy if you want to move the tower from one room to another. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience and I'm definitely getting another 3D puzzle.

but I must admit that I did the rest and really enjoyed it! I looked at the numbers and separated ...
I bought this for my 10 year old daughter for Christmas. When she complained of boredom one day, I got it out and basically forced her to do it with me because I was excited to see it. She did part of it, but I must admit that I did the rest and really enjoyed it! I looked at the numbers and separated them by section. I'm not sure how you would do it otherwise unless you really wanted a challenge. It took an hour or two, but turned out beautifully. It holds together very well. My only complaint is that the light switch is on the very bottom and is hard to reach. You have to carefully lift the base of the tower and then feel around for it to turn the lights on. Recommended!

wife & I enjoyed this puzzle
My daughter, wife & I enjoyed this puzzle. Everyday after my 8 year old came home from school she was ready to complete the next round of tasks. we only worked on it when all 3 of us were available. It was a bit tricky to complete, all the parts were there & fit, just some finagling was needed. The base was a tad bit of a disappointment however. It is flimsy, unsupported & makes turning the light switch on & off a real pain in the buzo. it is NOT about the base, the puzzle was fun, we can not wait for the next one. we are thinking the Empire State Building is next for us. last note, the LED lights are pretty cool. Light color changes, we counted 8 different colors on the spectrum.

High quality gift lots of fun!
My eleven-year-old daughter loved this gift. She was able to put it together completely on her own, and it turned out to be a very high-quality item that she loves having as a display in her room. It is really cool when it is lit up at night. The color changing feature is awesome as well. This would make a fabulous gift for anyone who enjoys puzzles.
