I bought Villa Vanilla “concentrate” at the Cancun airport, what is the difference between it and the extract and how do you measure?

I'm posting as someone who uses another "traditional vanilla" brand that uses Mexican beans. What you bought at the airport, assuming it's Villa Vainilla's product, has much less alcohol than is required by the FDA to be labeled as "pure vanilla extract." It's possibly boosted with vanillin as well, which is probably why it seems to much more intense to you. "Pure vanilla extract," by law, MUST be extracted by a solution of at least 35% alcohol (I don't remember the minimum weight of beans).

How come your coa (cert. of analysis) does not show all the ratios of ingredients? what is the % of vanilla extract?

Our COA made by Anresco Laboratories consists besides of the coumarin and gluten free detection analysis; of a nutritional, a standard plate count, a coliform and a yeast and mold analysis. In the label you can find listed all of the ingredients in the vanilla extract; the % of vanilla extract is 35% of vanilla beans maceration obtained in alcohol and the percentage of this alcohol is at least 35% as defined by the FDA .
