Uppers are not all they could be, but good skates
Got these to get some aerobics going. I used to speed skate for miles at a time and have had several pairs of skates and was picky about the wheels and bearings. At this price point I was skeptical as to quality. The uppers are a bit on the cheap side. Yeah, they are made with leather, but I have no Idea how they got it so thin over the top of the man made material. It’s not horrible but definitely the worst part of the skates. That said, the trucks are solid, the bearings good to better, and the wheels decent.I have extra wide feet so I ordered one size up. That worked well.Overall they are a great value. They really perform well.

There really great quality
Why did you pick this product vs others?:My husband is almost 50 years old and when I tell you this is the happiest I’ve seen him in a long time about getting a present he loves them he has been skating everyday with them even got new wheels 🛞 not because there was anything wrong he had to have street wheels and wooden wheels for inside great quality size fits perfect true to size very comfortable and durable there going to last him forever.

Budget Friendly Beginner Skate
The media could not be loaded. Nice looking skates! Affordable and simple. They have good, solid trucks with adjustable toe stops, and they also came with a small wrench to make adjustments. My 2 issues were:1. Boot was too long. 2. Left wheel was malformed a little bit which caused it to roll funny. If the boot had fit, I would've kept these and replaced the wheels. But unfortunately had to return them.Ease of use:The wheels rolled smoothly. Unfortunately 1 was defective.Value for money:I bought the used version for about $32. It's a real shame I couldn't keep them because that is a good price and they are nice overall. The material is not high quality, but is good for the low price.

Outstanding skates for the money
I bought my entire family skates for Christmas. I gought this pair for me, but I didn't expect to like them. I was concerned that the leather would be too stiff, that the toes are was too narrow. I spent a lot more on my wife and sons skates and expected to be disappointed in mine, only because they looked stiff and were was less expensive. Well, I'm a believer! These skates are great. Really great! They are stiff, but that's a good thing because it gives you tremendous support, and they are soft enough for outside. Wish I had these skates when I was a kid. I'm 6'2 and 210 pounds and handles me perfectly. Only upgrade I may make would be the bearings, but they are fine. These skates are every bit as good as the ones I bought for my wife and son at twice the price. So from a value perspective - don't underestimate them because they are less expensive. These will be the best skates you'll ever own. Fit was true to size and very comfortable for such thick leather.

These are nice skates.
The wrench they provided to adjust the nuts was very weak and bent all up on the first turn...you really have to invest in a good nut tool so you can adjust the factory torque on those nuts. When I got my skates, the trucks were super stiff and all the way tight and it was hard to take turns on the rink. It took me days just to find one that was suitable, but I did find this one:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HBRPZSC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1As for the skates themselves, they feel good. I can stand straight without rolling off like rental skates where I am slipping all around on them.I felt much better in them than the rental skates. But you do got to adjust everything because everything is tightened all the way down. So far I like them and the way the look is basic black and cool! We shall see if they rip in the back like some reviews were saying. I sure hope not. I hope I don't have to upgrade to Impala skates or something.

Looks can be deceiving, beware
I hope this will help somebody, because I was totally shocked when I was skating and the skates fell apart on the skate floor. I purchased these skates back in may, this being my second pair. I have been buying the Chicago brand for years and never had any problems with the boots in particularly. I only buy the ones that are leather uppers because they're more sturdy for long time skate seasoned skaters. This was totally embarrassing for me, so bad that I had to just pretend to fall and act like something was wrong with the wheels. I sat down on the floor and seeing that my foot was already out of the bottom of the boot on the floor. I quickly took off the skate and held it so that no had seen the boot separated the sole. I now wished I bought the protection plan on both pair, but with me not ever having any problems withchicago skate and have some last for years. I can see I was back in my younger days when skating every week, they would get more wear and tear. I'm sixty two and I don't skate that often where they would take a hard skate for them to fall apart. I took them apart since no protection plan, to see if a shoe repair shop could save them. If you should buy them, get the protection plan if it's offered.
