Glad Joes 2 Pros has Given a Subject in Book Format that is Hard to Search on the Internet. There is a lot of trial and error with SSRS if no one else around knows it and you are the one to figure it out. Sure the internet gives some hits on help but it takes a lot to find what you want. I wish I had this at the beginning of my trial and error of SSRS.Thank you Joes 2 Pros!

Excellent
A very good descriptive tutorial I have ever found. Screen shots and examples are very helpful. Anybody would be able to learn without any prior experience.

Great for getting started with SSRS
This is a great book for getting started with SSRS if you have a background in SQL and writing SQL queries and using other Report Writers. This is exactly what I was looking for and can't beat the price of the Kindle version. It gives step-by-step instructions for getting your SSRS page up and running.

In few hours I learnt how to create reports using SSRS with this tutorial and I managed to make my own first quite atractive report. Now I am considering if the SSRS is so handy and simple, or this turorial is so good.Perfect for total beginners.

very good intro for beginners
Pro: Good for beginners. Accessible.Con: Wish there was more to the book. Too brief. Only gets your feet wet.

Don't Bother
I bought the book and began with chapter 1. The author never explains how to setup the database with the SSRSSetup.sql file provided from the book's download page. I tried manually running the setup sql script and it fails. Throwing the book away.

Good Value for the Price (But Needs Update - It's 2016 Already)
The near the beginning of the book is missing some important steps but after figuring out what was missing, on my own, it's been smooth sailing.

Brilliant
This is a short book, but that's a GOOD thing! I wanted something that felt more like a tutorial than a reference manual and that's exactly what this is. Right from the start, you're building reports and having concepts explained by someone who's obviously taught beginners before, and this engaging style meant that I got through all 10 chapters in less than a week. The only minor criticisms I have are that there are a couple of typos and I seemed to miss the bit about installing the database, but these didn't cause too much of a problem. Also, the instructions for downloading the files just gives the publisher's web site home page address, so you have to search around a bit. All in all, though... it was good fun to read and follow along with.

Good book to get a beginners outline of how to use SSRS
Good book to get an outline of how to use SSRS. Some working database knowledge would be required to fully follow the scripts provided in the labs. A few typos in the book and all of chapter 1 and some of charter 2 is missing. I've never seen a book where the first 18 pages are missing.Still a reasonable book for a fiver.
