COBI 4810 Historical Collection Battleship Bismarck, Multicolor

Q: I bought Bismarck but got Tirpitz stickers, how can this be fixed?

The stickers are indeed a set for the Tirpitz. However, if you look in the back of the 2nd manual for the Bismarck kit you'll see you're only going to use the portholes and little stickers like that, not the camo stickers for the hull. The sticker sheet is fine for the Bismarck, they just didn't bother to make a separate sticker sheet/cut off the Tirpitz camo from the existing sheet.

Q: Is it exactly the same as the previous release 3081?

The 4810 is the replacement for the 3081 which has been discontinued. We are not aware of any major changes and believe they are essentially the same. They are both 1:300 scale and have 1974 pieces.

Q: How can you distinguish which is top platform and which is bottom

This is the problem with COBI products is their directions. When you finish one page and turn to the next page, the section that you have finished is light blue. It gets frustrating because it makes it hard to figure out where to put the next pieces sometimes. So I have a magnifying glass to look at the light blue and you can see the lines which helps out a lot so you know where to put the new pieces. But if you look ahead in the directions you can see that you are only working on the bottom section. I've been obbsesed with LEGOS for a long but I'm also getting tired of the high price's, it's getting ridiculous on how much they are asking. So I decided to try COBI because of the more selection of military and the cheaper price's but I started out with a small River Boat just to see what I was getting myself into. It took me awhile to figure out the directions and had to redo some sections over because I missed a step but I got it done and was impressed with how it looks and I have had to take sections of the Bismarck apart because of this also. But I have bought several COBI items and eventually you know what to expect so it does get a little easier. But I do not understand why they can't use colored bricks like LEGO it sure would make it a lot easier. Once again let me know if this helps or still confused.
