Much better than standard pinto beans for making frijoles..just don’t overpay
I bought these before the price spiked due to price gouging...so don’t buy these if they are above $14.99 for 2 kilo shipped as that is the normal price pre price gouging so be aware.I had heard that using Brazilian pinto beans were superior to standard pintos for making retried beans. I have been making my own for 30 years since leaving SoCal and not having any decent options in Maine. I have my SoCal version recipe down and everyone loves them. But you know...always looking for improvements. So...I gave these a try. Well...wow..they are better..a generally milder flavor which accepts any spice real well like say onion or garlic. More so they are very creamy when mashed up as compared to standard pinto beans. Also they cooked up universally the same whereas sometimes pintos can cook up with some old beans here and there but not these. They are about a third the size of normal pintos even smaller than black beans but once they swell they were pretty close to pinto beans. Really way superior in cooking to pintos in my opinion. I won’t go back unless I run out of these which as of today they are out,Again just way tastier than standard pintos with superior texture and cooking consistency

Never again
This product is overpriced and misleading I literally paid $42 for only 4 lb of pinto beans what a rip off I will never be ordering again! Complete waste of money

Delicious Brazilian style bean
Camil is by far my favorite brand of bean. The texture is great and the taste is amazing. My son loves this Brazilian style bean! Usually i wash the beans and leave them in the water overnight. It takes 40 minutes to cook and tastes amazing. Strongly recommend!

This brand is so far the best one I have found
This is very similar to pinto beans. It's a little softer, and it took me only 15 minutes to cook with a pressure cooker. This brand is so far the best one I have found. It's just like the ones they serve at most Brazilian restaurants in the US. I am planning to buy more in the future.

Do not look like true Feijao Carioca
The beans I received are like the US pinto beans and not the true Brazilian Feijao Carioca (as pictured) which is lighter and with more noticeable stripes. I have not cooked these yet so I cannot attest to the taste.
