Trash
These are worthless do not work at all. Please do not waste your money on them. They leak very poorly made and will not produce a spark.

Good to have in an emergency
I have no other purpose for this other than an emergency or if someone needs to light a candle for a party. It came in a multipack so I can give away the other 3. I always like to have a backup anyways. It has a seal to prevent the lighter fluid from leaking. The lighting of the match took a few tries to learn but it was not hard after watching the video. I had no issue with it leaking or spilling fluid. You only put enough fluid to go up 2/3 full or you will have too much inside. For the price, it is a good value. For the design, it is unobtrusive and small enough for a pocket. It is lightweight and feels durable.

Interesting.
Kind of a neat idea but not practical. I did get them to light. getting the right amount of lighter fluid seems to be the key, too much fluid, it wets the flint and no spark, not enough fluid and it burns up the wick pretty fast. Also, as a safety note, I did start the outside of the container on fire a few times while getting it right. It is lighter fluid not gasoline, unless you do something stupid it can be easily blown out. I thought it was different, kind of interesting and for the price what were you expecting?

Nice Gift For Camping Enthusiasts
Great Novelty Gift for Outdoor and Survival EnthusiastsThis set of SURVIVE Permanent Matches makes a great small gift, especially for outdoor enthusiasts or those who appreciate survival and tactical gear. They strike and light reliably, which is impressive for such a compact tool. However, I do have some concerns about durability — the bodies and threads are plastic, so I’m unsure how well they’ll hold up over time, especially in wet or rugged conditions. That said, my camping buddies and a few friends with military backgrounds genuinely appreciated the gift. A fun and useful novelty to keep on a keychain or in a pack.

Needed Survival Tool
What is one of the most important things you need to survive in the wilderness? FIRE! THIS product delivers. Small and easy to take, this single item can provide you with that needed item. It doesn't take long to master how to use this tool. Once learned, you can consistently get a light and use to start a fire. Was initially concerned when reading reviews by others. After just a few minutes I realize 'they' might be the problem vs. this tool. Both the wife unit and I were able to light this permanent match after just a few tries, and now can consistently light it on the first try. Great product and can't wait to take it out in the wild. Plan to give others in the 5-pack away to family and close friends. Looks like we have our stocking stuffers all figured out for this year. What a unique and handy gift to give! Cheers!

Very Poor Quality; Choose another brand
The tiny thumbscrews are difficult to tighten and loosen. A larger knob would really help. On several occasions, I had to use pliers to unscrew the match, and I was careful not to cross-thread any of them. Speaking of which, a couple of them were very difficult to keep from cross-threading. At almost every attempt to screw them in straight, they would suddenly cant and try to go in at an angle. I tried turning them backwards (in the unscrewing direction) to feel for the threads to align, but I couldn't feel it. Finally, most egregious, is that two of the 5 containers leak. One leaks so fast that I can't get it filled fast enough to see the fluid pooled in the bottom of the canister, much less to the midpoint as the instructions indicate. The other leaks more slowly, and I didn't realize it at first. I filled the container according to the instructions, wiped up what I thought must be spillage, and started to break-in the flint. On the 3rd or 4th strike, the match lit, but so did the bottom of the canister. It began to burn my hand. After I extinguished the flame, I held the canister high and watched as fuel slowly pooled and dripped from the bottom. So, after this experience, I decided that these are unreliable garbage and a safety hazard. I proceeded to process a return, and to my surprise, they wanted me to ship them back even though I have already poured fluid in them. I'm not 100% on laws about shipping flammable liquids, but I'm pretty sure that I can't ship anything that is leaking fuel. I guess the set was cheap enough that I can throw the leaking ones away and hope that the other ones don't fail, but I don't have much faith in that idea. I'll probably find another brand that works as advertised and get rid of all 5 of these. The savings isn't worth the burns.

Trouble Starting—2nd Update
I think I read somewhere you could use kerosene in lieu of lighter fluid. I’m not sure as originally I used charcoal lighter fluid.I found lighter fluid. THe matches light with EVERY SPARK!I now rate this product FIVE STARS! This is based on the product AND the company’s superb customer focus.I wrote a less than flowery review a couple of weeks ago. See below. The company immediately responded with a fix and suggestions where to buy fluid. I haven’t try the new ‘matches’ yet but I’m giving the product FOUR STARS based on the company’s customer focus. I’m expecting to go to FIVE STARS as soon as I get lighter fluid.ORIGINAL REVIEW. So far, I'm unable to get it to work. I don't have lighter fluid. In fact Ive been to three stores so far and none carry it.I used charcoal lighter. The spark is great but it won't light the wick. I'll get some lighter fluid and report back.
