Can these be used to stop a chair sliding on wooden floor??

If you want to stop the chair from marking the floor then no, that is not what these are intended for. They would stop the chair sliding but the movement of the chair with the weight would mean they would eventually unstick. We do not recommended this product for use of heavy furniture items or chair/table legs. Felt pads are better suited for those items. Kind Regards HB

I cannot see why it would not work, they hold the glass in place on my wooden chest! Dont know why they would not hold your dog bowl to the floor.

I have used these for a glass top dinning table to secure to the legs. Works well.
