I bleach and color my hair regularly, at least every few months. I have not had my natural hair color more than a few weeks at a time for the past 10 years at least. So I have used a lot of hair colors and bleaches and hair color removers. This is my favorite bleach by far. I cannot believe how quickly it worked.For reference, I was bleaching a light purple color out of my medium blonde/light brown ash toned hair. I also had roots that had grown out so I needed to bleach out both the old permanent color and my roots. My hair is about chin length with an undercut, but very very thick. One box of this bleached all of my hair in about 20 minutes. It took it to a light golden blonde, but probably would have been white if I had given it a a few more minutes. I started with my lengths and planned to let that sit for a bit then do my roots, but I could see the lightening in my lengths within minutes so I went ahead and applied to everything and was ready to rinse in about 20 minutes all told. I shampooed 3 times and conditioned with a hair mask afterward and my hair wasn't overly brassy or straw-like in texture.If you have long hair or very thick hair, you will likely need two boxes of this. The directions were super easy (just mix everything together basically) and it actually came with a decent pair of gloves (not the paper thin ones that I usually get and are practically useless). The smell with this was not as bad as some bleaches I have used either. I really have no complaints, for the price this is hands down the best bleach I have ever used.Simple, quick, and effective. Bonus, the color that came out was nice enough and even enough that I have been able to wait a few days in between bleaching and re-coloring (basically, it is presentable in public so I didn't have to go right back to the bathroom to color as soon as I washed this out). Especially if you have medium color hair and want to get some vibrant colors in, highly recommend this to get you started.

I was skeptical at first because I didn't think it was going to do a good job. I wanted it to just at least be decent. It went beyond my expectations is actually a really good kit. My hair isn't dark colored it's actually a light pink or it was and it took it up to almost Platinum so it was really good kit.

Manic panic is always worth the money and has the best colors

My stylist recommended Manic Panic's Flash Lightening Hair Bleach Kit with 30-Volume Developer. I have dark brown hair and needed to maintain my foil at home to save money. Manic Panic is a great product. You will have no problem lifting your hair color from dark to light. The box kit comes with instructions, a pair of gloves, a cap, an envelope of bleaching powder, a 30-vol cream developer, a tint brush, and a mixing tub with a lid. This is so convenient. Since I only need to do root touchups, I don't need to mix all of the product for an application. This kit allows me to only measure the amount of product I need,so I don't waste anything. I also love the tint brush. I got very good application coverage with it and was able to paint the product exactly onto the areas where I needed it. The other end of the brush is useful in helping to section the hair!, which is another plus.The Manic Panic Flash Lightening 30-Volume has no problem lifting dark brunette hair to a very light blonde. People might complain about the product damaging their hair... which is crazy to me. This is BLEACH, and bleach is going to break the hair down. That's just the way it is. My hair was a little dryer and it was somewhat damaged after I had used this product, but I expected that. I did not experience any breakage using Manic Panic Flash Lightening, and overall, my hair was compromised but not to a regrettable degree. The areas of my hair where I accidentally had overlapped the product onto hair I'd previously bleached did not suffer any significant consequence.I recommend this product as a tried and true go-to for anyone who wants to lighten dark hair. Just read the instructions carefully and know how to use the product before you begin. You should have zero problems!
