Post-op or swollen tired legs… you need this!
I purchased this pillow for my post-op knee care. The best thing I have ever invested in. I still use it. It helps with swollen and tired legs. Plus, it’s comfortable to use while sleeping.

Great Pillow - Cheap-Looking Pillow Case
For $22.32 (excluding tax), this was a great deal. I loved how wide it is (I’m not struggling to fit both legs on it while lying down).I was diagnosed with hyperlordosis and one of the recommendations to fix the excessive spinal curve was to lie flat on my back, so I do this for about an hour each night as I’m falling asleep and my back is almost back to perfect. When I first implemented sleeping with my legs elevated, paired with a cervical neck pillow (I also had an excessively straight neck without the necessary curve) I slept the whole night with a plethora of techniques for elevating your legs (pillows, a rocking chair ottoman etc.), and while it did the trick these were all unwieldy and uncomfortable. This is super light weight and a much better solution. My sciatic has ended and whenever I feel any back tension or pressure I definitely use this to sleep and it instantly makes a difference. My only cons: it’s a piece of foam covered with a cheapish pillow case with a zipper. The pillow case looks a bit fragile for washing, so I lay an extra pillow on top in order to keep it clean (I don’t particularly want a sweaty pillow). One of these days I might sow a more attractive cover, but that’s probably wishful thinking. It’s not aesthetically appealing on my bed (and for vanity I have removed one star from the rating), but it does what it’s supposed to do, and the foam hasn’t degraded and the price is better than a lot of the same type of pillows. So if you don’t mind the slightly cheap look of the pillow case, go for it, and if you know how to sow, even better! Ultimately it was worth it for me.

Life changing!
This thing has changed my life. My back hurt every morning. It hurt to get out of bed and my back hurt the whole day after. Pillows between my knees but they moved and weren’t as effective as I’d like. I’ve had the best nights sleep since buying this. It’s comfortable and amazing. If you wonder if you should get these, the answer is YES! It’s worth noting that I never right reviews but this one is worth the time!

Really like it!
I have a lot of pain in my legs from having severe issues with my spine, back surgeries and nerves. I also have adhesive arachnoiditis which causes me to have intense muscle spasms. I'm also pretty much bedridden bcuz mobility makes things worse. I worry about blood clots so I decided to purchase this wedge to get my legs up above my heart. It also just makes my legs feel better after propping them up. I do want to say this thing is quite hard so I have to put a thin bed pillow long ways that goes up the side and on top of the wedge. It gets painful and my legs and feet go to sleep if I don't use the pillow but I'm ok with using it. Keep in mind that it might not be comfortable if you use a big bulky bed pillow. I've also had total hip replacement on my right side and am waiting to have the left done but I can get both legs up on the wedge easily and be comfortable. For myself the most comfortable position is to turn the wedge with the slope part away from me. It's easier on the knee's that way as well. It's way to hard to use under your upper body. I tried with 3 pillows on top and it was still to hard. For raising the legs up this is excellent and you cannot beat the price. And love that the cover can be removed and washed. Cover is well made and the foam is of good quality. There was absolutely no smell upon opening. I was able to use immediately.

A good base for post-operative comfort
I ordered the DMI ortho bed wedge before having foot and ankle surgery. I knew that I’d need to keep my foot propped up (toes to nose), and figured that a wedge pillow would be easier to manage than a pile of bed pillows. The pillow is covered with a removable zippered woven cover, that I assume is machine washable. The actual pillow is one piece of foam. I was surprised at how firm it was.I am currently five days post op, and using the wedge pillow during my waking hours. I have a splint on my foot and leg, covered with a thick layer of gauze, and covered with wide ace bandage. There are incisions in the top of my foot and on the outside of my ankle. I’ve found the wedge pillow to be helpful, but it’s too hard to use alone. I’ve found that I’m the most comfortable when I use a standard sized pillow lengthwise over the top of the wedge pillow. The need the extra cushioning because the hard foam of the wedge pillow causes the splint to press into my incisions. If I didn’t have the wedge, I’d have to use four or five bed pillows to get my foot propped up this high, so I’m happy with this purchase. If I were to improve the functionality of the wedge pillow, I’d replace the woven fabric of the cover with something thick and soft, like minky fabric (used for baby blankets) and add straps on each side to make it easier to carry as well as pull into place. I’d also add a 3”-4”layer of convoluted memory foam to the top side of the foam pillow to help cradle a wounded limb in comfort. If there were soft padding on this pillow, I wouldn’t need to use an extra bed pillow.

Helps alleviate leg pain.
Purchased this for my MIL who has been suffering with pretty severe leg pain. She says that since she's been using it at night, she wakes up with no leg pain whatsoever. She's very pleased with it and uses it nightly.

8 inch wedge/ 5yrs of continuous use
Follow up, I used this product since July 2020. I use it on a daily basis. The outer case is worn and ripping apart. The foam is breaking down.Needless to say, I got a good use of the wedge and my money worth.
