Samsonite "The Protector Hardside and Softside Golf Travel Bag with Shark Wheels, Waterproof Exterior

The media could not be loaded. This is a great quality bag, from the zipper pulls to the buckle straps, this bag feels and looks premium. I filled it with a cart bag carrying14 clubs, a set of balls. It stood upright with ease. I could see if your bag was top heavy it may throw off the ability to stand up right. I was weary of the wheels when making the purchase but they glide over the floor effortlessly. I am super happy with my purchase and look forward to taking my clubs to Hawaii.

Ergonomically unsafe when used upright as a spinner, bends in middle no matter which way it is packed and tends to list to one side. Tips over very easily at most inappropriate times in crowed airports striking self and others. Difficult to upright when falls while carrying other bags and by self mainly because the frame is not support in the middle this and tends to sag. For the same reason it is difficult and heavy to pull as a two wheeler. I believe it needs a wider base possibly round with multiple wheels and more support structure through the center third. Handle placements on body are inappropriate and make no sense. I wonder if the developer ever talked to and got input from golfers. The errors in construction which includes balance, maneuverability, ergonomics, and safety are glaring. They need to start over. I would be happy to provide more input. A an aside, the airline tore a hole in the outside accessory zipper compartment and as of to date they will not stand by their responsibility to repair it claiming normal wear and tear.I have used this bag once thinking it might the final answer (Holy Grail) to smooth air travel. I was wrong. I would not recommend this product to anyone who considers buying a new travel bag.

The handles are funky on this bag. There are two that I assume are supposed to come together around the middle, but they don’t reach each other. Because it’s a soft bag and my golf bag is a carry bag, the handles don’t work anyway. There’s too much sloppiness in the middle to support. The sloppiness also causes issues when rolling the bag. I have to lift way high on it to avoid dragging it. It survived one trip to Florida, but the return flight was cancelled. The bag got loaded to the plane and then downloaded. So, I guess you can call it two flights. It’s scratched to hell and there’s a missing wheel. My clubs survived, but my golf bag is a little wonky now. I think if you load it on its side, it fits in better, but it will stress the bag’s rigid supports. One of the supports is now loose and there is a fabric tie to keep it in place that is ripped. Overall, this bag is not worth the money! Go for the hard bag or cheap soft bag. I’m pretty sure you’ll have the same luck or hopefully better!!

Bag is great. Quality design and material.As others have said, the bag is very large. Returning for a smaller bag. Could legitimately fit two carry bags into this one travel bag, way too much room to float around in there.Likely a jumbo cart bag with 25 clubs and 4 pair of shoes could fit in this travel bag.Good quality, wrong size for my setup.

Product is falsely advertised, the photos in the ad are misleading, the product is unstable and topples when vertical, when pulling on 2 wheels the product slumps in the middle, the hard plastic shell on top will not secure clubheads if the bag is tossed around the golf bag and content will move around in the travel case. Purchase and use at your own risk! Samsonite normally produces a top quartile performing product, however not on this occasion!

Bag is great-description is spot on. However-first flight using the bag, one of the wheels broke. So, if using this bag to fly a lot-maybe choose a different bag/brand that the specialized wheels aren’t sticking out to save a lot of headache.
