Negative 2 stars! Wanna know why? Here's the Scoop....
CAUTION: Kickbacks can be dangerous and often occur due to fatigue, distraction, inexperience, or a combination of these factors. Please exercise caution when using this product! It is recommended to watch chainsaw kickback videos to ensure you are well-prepared for the task ahead.THE GOOD:It cuts! Well, that's about the only positive thing I can say!THE BAD:THE CHAIN BREAK CLAIM:: (since removed and replaced with chain beak alert) When I purchased this chainsaw, their website falsely claimed to have a chain break, which turned out to be untrue. It's shocking that iBell would compromise on such an essential safety feature. They should be ashamed of themselves! Subtracting two stars for this blatant deception!Chain Catcher Conundrum: They decided to exclude a simple chain catcher, a crucial safety component. What's the point of a chain break alert if the operator ends up injured? Another two stars deducted for this glaring oversight!OIL CONSUMPTION WOES:: Using 20w40 oil from a reputable manufacturer, but here's the problem: The chainsaw guzzles a full tank of oil in just 1 minute and 50 seconds! No, I'm not kidding. This engineering flaw creates a messy oil spillage and unnecessary expenses. What were they thinking? Subtracting the last remaining star for this oil-guzzling madness!MISSING SHEATH MYSTERY: Turns out, the sheath to protect the bar was not included with the product. iBell's open box policy might explain this mishap, but it's still unacceptable. Despite reaching out to customer service, I received no response. Subtracting another star (-1 star now!).SWATHI'S "INVESTIGATION": Eight months later, I received a call from Swathi in customer service, eager to hear about my experience. I thought, "Wow, finally someone cares!" I poured my heart out, explaining every little detail of my disappointment. Swathi assured me she would "look into it." Ah, the promises of a bygone era when iBell cherished its customers like gold. Sadly, that spark has fizzled into a mere tick on an online form, a hollow gesture of pretend concern. I suspect my complaint is now floating in the abyss, never to be seen again. It's disheartening to witness their downward trajectory after such a promising start. Another star bites the dust, leaving me at a pitiful -2.Let's hope iBell regains their spark and improves their customer experience. I'm still rooting for them, but they have a long way to go.Stay safe and keep those chainsaws in check!

Great Saw, But...
Cyclone Amphan (Umpun) devastated many districts of South Bengal, Calcutta, AND our compound. Tired of waiting for Professional cutters with chainsaws, who were engaged in more urgent jobs of clearing roads of uprooted trees and fallen branches, to restore power and communications, I decided to order one. Because of the lockdown and blocked roads, buying online was only choice.I-BELL is a brand I have used before -- PRC made but Indian warranty plus service. Price was also right. Decided not to buy petrol model because of higher cost and maintenance/repair issues. After this crisis, it would see rare usage.Am very pleased, and in two days -- PAISA WASOOL. Professional cutters would charge more than 5000/- for what I have accomplished in four hours (2 hrs cutting per day, and clearing) !PROS : Low costEasy assembly -- did not need manual even though I was a first time user. No tools, not even a spanner required.Easy chain tensioning. At just over six kgs, not too heavy. Yet 16" reach sufficient. No kickback experienced, yet.Auto chain lube also convenientCONS :No chain brake (a compulsory safety feature) -- false claims on that.No 'rundown brake' either, another false claim. Chain keeps running even after switch is released.Auto oiler consumes too much, leading to sticky deposits of sawdust on chain & inside cover. Needs frequent top ups and cleaning. No clear inspection window to see oil level (third false claim)Scabbard/sheath not provided for chain -- cheaper brands do. Got one locally for 50/- !Carrying bag should be an optional extra -- hard to find one that long.Only two metre power cord -- lucky I had the 100 ft- coil from my electric brush cutter and it fit.And what is 'biologically disposable chainsaw oil', and how and where to get it ? As I know, all mineral oils are biodegradable, and I am using engine oil. After four years and another cyclone (Remal) needed to cut another uprooted tree. The machine was as good as before, but I received violent kickbacks this time, the worst one knocked me to the ground, chainsaw and all. Another time the guide & chain were stuck in the log with the hand guard squashed flat. though my left hand was saved, I realized the importance of an automatic brake connected to the guard, claimed falsely here. And I am really amazed at the amount of oil it wastes !
