Bostitch Office Epic Metal 3 in 1 Stapler, 25 Sheet Capacity, Includes 210 Staples in Staple Storage Compartment & Integrated Remover,

I've gone through multiple staplers during the last half of my teaching career (during the first half, they always provided us with staplers, and now we provide our own, so that's probably why). They always jam, even the jam-free or jam-resistant ones. I've tried so many staplers it's not even funny. Finally I'd had one for over a year, and it broke (due to the craziest jam I'd ever seen). I decided to do my research on staplers. Although this stapler didn't always come up number one, it was on EVERY review list I looked at. What made me choose it was that it was listed as jam-free (not just jam-resistant) and heavy duty, which is what you want out of something you are going to be using a lot. And, the price was right. It was on lists with far more expensive staplers and beating them out, and I really didn't want to spend $40 on a stapler, so I went with this one. I chose the blue because it looked pretty (it is really nice looking in person too, people stop and notice it) and was priced a little lower than some of the other colors for some reason. You can easily staple with one hand (or 2 fingers), you don't have to use hardly ANY force (which is totally new to me) and it works great to staple bulletin boards and things of that nature too. So far it's never even showed one sign of trying to jam on me, which is huge! I also love that it takes standard staples, since I have a ton of them. Seriously, if you are frustrated with jamming staplers or just want a nice looking, heavy duty stapler for your classroom or office, check this one out. I'm not at all disappointed! Now, it's not going to be as light weight as those cheap-o staplers, but it is light weight for a heavy duty stapler...it's definitely not heavy by any means, but you can tell it's made well. Favorite. stapler. ever!

I love that this stapler comes with a flip out staple remover, as well as storage for an extra supply of staples! (Stapler does NOT include staples). The stapler is nice and heavy, appears well built and was easy to staple with.

This stapler has a good solid feel to it and it is satisfyingly heavy, a heaviness that instantly let's you know it's made out of metal and not plastic junk. It may also be used as a paperweight. Or it may save you from an intruder when you launch it with your pitching arm. In any case, the stapler has a nice paint job to it, it looks spiffy and is hands down better than the garbage stapler they provide at the office. That being said, the stapler sometimes doesn't staple and I’m not sure why. You just have to try again, and then it works. Also the opening is kind of small, so the stack of papers does not easily slide in at times. Overall, it’s a good stapler, has a satisfying heaviness and may draw some envy from those around you.11/2017 update.Okay, I initially rated this as 3 stars, but I will update and say it is a 5. 2 decades of experience with these. Buy them for camps, offices and classrooms for quality steel staplers to last. Haven't had jamming issues like other staplers. Like dropping a hammer when knocked around and keeps going. Extra staple storage is nice. Staple puller is basic but worthwhile addition.Good quality.

Updating from 1 star to 4. Bostitch sent a replacement, and while it's still not as good as my coworker's, it gets the job done with few "misfires." If you're looking for a nice stapler at a decent price, this one is worth a try!I've been suffering with a cheap stapler for 4 years not realizing just how bad it was until I borrowed a coworker's Bostitch-B777. It was game-changing, virtually no "skips" or "misfires" and zero jams in a big staple job. I decided I must have my own. I just received it this week and am so very disappointed. I would say out of every 10 times I try to staple, only about 3 times does a staple actually come out. I am sad I wasted my money on this and just so disappointed because I thought I was getting a high-quality product.

For the past decade, I had gotten by at home with a dollar store stapler. The Bostitch Epic fits the bill perfectly.The stapler's metal build feels solid in the hand, stapling action is easy and satisfying, and there have been zero jams or misfires so far (I've been using Bostitch premium office staples and have only needed to staple up to 10 sheets at a time). The thoughtful little extras are what make this the best stapler I've ever used: both the stapler's feet and hand contact points are wrapped in soft rubber, which provides a nicely cushioned grip while in use and makes the stapler more stable when stored vertically. The fold-out staple remover is handy, as is the onboard compartment for spare staples. I fully expect to be using this stapler for decades to come.
