Why does they size chart stop at 24 months, i can't decide 4t or 5t my child is just shy of 41 inches, which should i buy?

5t. You can do a quick hem easy to get out or roll waist if too long. This way it lasts longer. Also start looking for things like 4/5 and 5/6 it tends to work for both sizes.

How is the rise in these pants? Will they fit well on a child that has a long waist or a round butt (my child has both)?

My son has a long torso, but they're very snug fitting. I did not see anywhere in the description that they were slim fit and/or skinny jeans but that is what they sent me. I do not like the fit at all. If you're looking for comfort and more of a relaxed fit I would not purchase these. I am thinking they don't come directly from The Children's Place but some other Amazon vendor or something. I don't have luck with clothing off Amazon. Good Luck.

I found that they run true to size. The waist is also elastic (since you say he’s slim that will be helpful). I’d say 5t, but refer to the size chart they have— it worked perfectly for us.

Yes, they are actual front pockets. Deep ones too for this size, I think.

We took a chance and I must say, we love these elastic jeans!The adjustable band gave us the capability for the 5T to fit like a 4T in the waist, with room to expand in the waist as our little one grows. He’s very slim and sometimes a 4T fits with no room to grow. These jeans are true to size and gives a loose slim fit with a good remaining length for his body type. The material is very thick and appears to give a good value for the money. No shrinkage when washed and tumbled dry.Love them so much, we will be buying more in different colors and styles.

These are perfect grow-into-me jeans. We got them big, and they roll up well and the waist cinch is great. They work well almost a full size too big. Kiddo doesn't seem to mind wearing them
